The molecular weight of MDMA hydrochloride monohydrate is approximately 247.72 g/mol

while the anhydrous hydrochloride salt has a weight of 229.70 g/mol.

Fwiw I don't have 2A tunnel vision. Selective 2A drugs are great for research/medicine but the richness of drugs like LSD, psilocin, DMT and mescaline is thanks to their polypharmacology.

More specifically, agonism of 5HT2a isn't sufficient for psychedelic effects. Instead, the substance needs to be [an agonist of 5HT2a-mGlu2 heterodimers.](https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3064746/)

All classical psychedelics agonize this heterocomplex.

Now that sounds like you may be onto something honestly but again --- I dont know. I got lost on calculating molar mass and that was back when I was trying

Me? Again I have said many many times I am not a chemist -- I ran into trouble calculating (hypothetical) molar mass -- NO FOR THE 1,000th TIME I AM NOT A CHEMIST.

do I understand biology? Vague AF my guy -- as well as the next person, not as well as someone who specializes in it.

No I do not hold any degree -- though easily could have at any time til my pa passed and I lost my free tuition. (easily could have had A DEGREE not ANY DEGREE -- just to be clear im not that arrogant)

What I do understand is logic.

Vash made some claims, Didgital and a few others contested them, now we're back to square one where people can make claims and present evidence and the sort, stop trying to clown on people and making yourself look clownish in the process. Think that was the first year I got rolls, blue dolphins. First and best roll. (again setting and time of life greatly affect that) -- Better than BK-MDMA because I had never felt anything like that before.

Probably the most "First use was the best" drug imo actually, maybe mushrooms

There was speculation about this in another thread. But as I've said several times in this thread: I've been taking MDMA out of a batch I purchased 9-10 years ago for the last little bit. Shortly before that I was also sourcing some pressed pills. Both the crystal I've had and the pressed pills have been as good as the stuff I was taking circa-2001 if not better. The source of both insisted on showing it to me on multiple test kits and I really trusted him (and knew where his source was, which was the same source as most people here I'm assuming).

So no I don't think a polymorph can account for the problems many are describing in this thread. For me, MDMA and MDA have not changed at all.

Polymorphs/hydrates/isomers have been endlessly debated if you scroll back enough. Vash mentioned Ritonavir which was an HIV medication that all converted to a more stable less bioavailable polymorph, but they were able to fix that simply by dissolving and putting in a gelcap.

A polymorph is essentially the different ways the molecules can stack to form a unique crystal lattice. However if MDMA is dissolved in any liquid then it exists evenly distributed throughout the solution ie there is no more polymorphism.
