Opioids what is wrong with my nose?

I've been railing oxys for 5 months+ now and I've noticed that my nose is aways stuffed or clogged. I am always needing to sniffle and it annoys everyone when I'm in class..sniff..sniff. Is this normal when using Oxys, or could it be some other unrelated problem (dust mite allergies, maybe)? Will it go away when I quit (I'm going on the methadone treatment in 2-3 weeks).

What is the cure for my (possibly) oxy related congestion??

please answer ASAP, I am spending $$$$ on tissue and toilet paper.. :'(


p.s.: I also have bad allergies, but it is the WINTER time.. and I'm questioning the dust mite thing.. cuz my nose is fucked during the day time when I'm out of bed/outside, etc...

Take a break. Obviously, the excessive insufflation has caused problems for you. Use the search feature, this has been discussed before.

The only ROA viable for you, that would provide the same onset as insufflation, is plugging.

If you're planning on switching to 'done you're better off eating them anyways, higher bioavailability means you'll save money on pills. As said above, if you're looking for fast onset, plug them.

Of course other people have clogged their noses by snorting shit.

Most won't continue to do so if it becomes a problem though.

Just quit blowing them for a week or so and I'm sure your nose will clear up.

Maybe try some nose spray or a saline solution.

are you getting the OP's? If so that would explain why your nose is so fucked up, the new OP are designed to be non abusable and will fuck your nose up and are impossible to bang. But I assume you are just using the roxicodone 15 or 30mg pills? if so I can't say for sure but its a good bet that it is because of the constant oxy snorting. Snorting oxy will fuck up your nose and being on opiates all the time will lower your immune system so you are probably more susceptible to infections maybe you just have a minor cold all the time.

Snorting these opiate pills which gel up when contacted by water, will wreak hell on your nose/nasal passages.. Your only real solution is to simply STOP snorting the shit for a while. If your nose is swollen/clogged to the point of not being able to breathe through it, it may not be because there is powder/gel/gunk stuck up there. Repeated abuse to the nasal cavities can cause excessive inflammation, and cause the tissue/blood vessels to die off. The inflammation is from the excessive abuse.

Nasal sprays and whatnot will not help you in this case. Your best (and really only) solution right now is to simply stop snorting.. You say you are getting on methadone soon, so for the last bit of time you have with oxy's I recommend eating them. The bio-availability of oral oxycodone is greater than that off nasal, anyways.

Someone asked if you were snorting OP's, but I see that the poster is from Canada. The new "OP" formulation doesn't exist in Canada, as they were not required to change their formulation of OxyContin. So users of oxy in good ole' Canada need not worry about dealing with the garbage OP's we have down in Amurikah.

As others have hinted, your nose is stuffy because you're snorting pills! Many of the inactive ingredients such as binders and fillers can irritate your nose and cause inflammation and mucus production.

As BDP suggested, I'd also recommend taking them orally until you get on methadone. Also consider getting a neti pot, which can help clear your nasal passages as well.
