Misc What is this and how do I take it?

I found a little white round pill on the floor labeled "AN 627". I looked it up on WebMD and it said it's tramadol. I'm not sure the dosage, nor the Tylenol to drug ratio. I love, love, love needles and haven't stuck one in my arm in 2 yrs, and have been wanting to experience some kind of rush that only needles can provide for quite a while now. Could I shoot it? What does Tramadol do? How long would it leave me messed up for? All day or just a few hrs? What are the risks with the Tylenol and other things in it? Is it worth shooting or will it even provide a rush at all? I've also been drug free for 2 yrs so I have no tolerance whatsoever. I'm just looking for opinions/advice here. Thanks :)

Can you provide an explanation as to why it would make me sick and not get me high? What if I had two instead of just one? Would it make any difference?

It's an Opioid, but does not have any euphoric effects. At doses above 400mg, it has been known to cause seizures in those prone to them. Even people who are not prone to them can still have a seizure. It's effects are strange. I found it gave a warm fuzzy feeling, but made me sick as well. It's a nasty chemical, and is not worth the risk to be totally honest.

I picked up a little habit for a little over a month, did it almost daily. So I'm not just talking outta my ass. If you insist on doing it, just be careful, and don't expect much. Most of all, don't inject it. Just pop them with water.
 
No. Don't save it for anything. Seriously, just flush it. Not even kidding. It's not even like Lyrica, which can be used somewhat recreationally. Tramadol is just nasty. Don't use it.
 
You absolutely should never shoot tramadol. There is no formulation of it for iv use - it has action similar to codeine and when you shoot codeine you get pulmonary edema. Furthermore, tramadol, like codeine, is metabolized into a stronger drug, o-desmethyltramadol, which is primarily responsible for the opiate effects of tramadol as it is about 4 times stronger than tramadol.

You could eat those tramadol and you may feel an opiate effect. If you currently have no tolerance, there is certainly a chance. You should look it up again on a pill id and find out the dosage as we can't tell you exactly what it is. As was said, do not exceed 400mg in 24 hrs or 300mg at one time or you will have siezures.

I agree with everyone to not even bother.. I keep them around for when I have no alternitive but other than that its worthless.
 
I am personally not a fan of Tramadol, but a lot of people absolutely love it. If I recall correctly, there were a handful of people who ranked it as their most euphoric opiate, above even heroin. I think that's just a load of bullshit but my point is that there is, for some people, recreational value in Tramadol. Perhaps you should try it before flushing it down the toilet.
 
i kinda liked it myself.weird thing was i felt it more with the 50mg tabs more than the 100mg tabs.i was clean for about 6 months when i came across a handfull and the first few doses were like a fuzzy,warm perc high to me.i could only take one or two.did it for about 2wks and started to feel as if i had a chippy again like when on scripts.i don't think one tab's gonna hurt.if your system's clean you may feel it for a few hours but it's not like something you'd expect from say percs or oxys,to which i never liked anyhow.

Thanks! I don't know if I'll try injecting it, although that wikipedia link that J.Wallace posted said it can be done, and I have been aching to inject for quite some time. I think I'd rather eat it and see if I get any results, and if I do and if I like it, try injecting next time.

What about plugging? Maybe I should try that?

Nice to see sometihing positive about this. Thought for sure my find had been a total waste :(
 
Tramadol is safe to use for injection in sterile solutions only. Even then it's primarily a vet drug.

That said you should not attempt to inject tramadol pills. Eat it if you have a headache one day, but if you want a rush stick to heroin and heroin alone.

I think you've been down those roads before though. You know where they go.
