breath testers test for the metabolite acetaldehyde which is as you guess is also an aldehyde which will be trapped in bisulfite ............

think carbon filter for smell but using bisulfite ............

It might help alcoholics, but at the same time this pill would just cause me to drink 2-3x more than what I usually would, so IDK how good this product actually is.

Exactly what I was thinking. If it starts working while I'm STILL drinking, then I'd definitely just drink more/faster.

Way better idea to help not only hangover but some of brain damage, proposed by some was to add B12 to alcohol, that’s HR, I don’t get why that never happened.
