When i listen to those lyrics it moves me to know that,that kind of love that spans time and overcomes all obsticles is still very much in exsistance.

It is a song of two souls finding one another to become one.The song also has a a fantastic musical backdrop.

Try listening to it,the song is GORECKI,and the band is LAMB and is classed as chillout dance.

I once heard 'True' by Spandau Ballet when I was rolling and standing in line at a convenience store. I almost wept with joy.

I was similarly moved by Donna Summer's 'On the Radio' while driving home on the tail end of an acid trip.

But I don't think either of those count. At the time though, I remember thinking each of these was the most touching, romantic song I'd ever heard.

Regardless of the lyrics (which I think are more silly than romantic), the manner in which they are sung makes this song amazingly unromantic.
 
In no particular order (hard to choose just one):

Mariah Carey- Don't Forget about us
Smashing Pumpkins- By Starlight and Stand Inside Your Love
DJ Sammy- Heaven
Metallica- Nothing Else Matters (even the solo itself seems to be mermerised by the mysterious beauty of love)

Weird..I was just downloading sweet songs and thinking of ones to download, and I thought I hadnt been to SLR in awhile maybe Ill start a thread for suggestions..head over here and here the thread was already. Love it!

Anyways..this is an interesting topic for me because romantic songs pretty much own my world. Im such a daydreamer I swear. I love just zoning out having ridiculous romantic fantasies in my head while listening to music.

There are so many great romantic songs. And it really depends on the mood, or what you consider "romance". For instance, IMO, some of the most romantic songs arent happy ones, sometimes even ones about heartbreak. Then there are the super happy, falling in love, so sweet it makes you giddy kind..then there are slow, beautiful deep ones. Here are some of my favorites that come to mind, but I really have a million favorites. There are lots of great 80's songs that have gone overlooked! (I heart the 80s)

1)Boy Meets Girl- Waiting for a star to fall (I LOVE this song, its cheesy 80's happiness at its best)
2)Hall and Oats- You make my dreams come true
3)Pat Benatar- We belong (one of my favorite songs ever, romantic or otherwise)
4)Flogging Molly-If I ever leave this world alive
5)Gregory and the Hawk-Boats and Birds (BEST romantic heartwrenching breakup type song)
6)David Gray- This years love

That last one is probably my favorite romantic song..its beautiful, the simple piano melody just warms my heart..it makes me think of making love by candlelight and dancing outside under the moonlight.
