What is the longest time it takes alcohol withdrawal to start?

I have been drinking everyday for months.

I was just wondering what is the longest time for withdrawal to start.

Im just having a lot of anxiety about this

My brother in law is a heavy duty alcoholic and he wakes up sick.

I say if he goes with out for, at the most, 12 hours.
