What is the European view on Donald J Trump?

If they'd be willing to work for him, sure.

I should probably dislike him more than everyone does, but I pay no attention to him, and thus, my ignorance keeps me sane.

I think he'd be laughed out of parliament and take a metaphorical shit all over the world's economy.

I really don't get how you choose your leaders over there - Ronnie Ruskie Hunter Reagan, the retired B-move actor in charge of 15,000 nuclear weapons, Jesse Ventura the aging wrestler with more paranoid conspiracy theories than David Icke with a meth habit, the naked Terminator from the 80's governing an entire state, and now some bald, fat, brash racist billionaire who has mastered the art of stealing every penny from anyone ever while telling them they're a dick.

Who needs an actual plan for the future of the nation when you can simply appeal to the lowest common denominator: the country sucks and foreigners caused it.

Some of his views and actions remind me a little too much of a mustachioed European 20th century dictator elected on a similar premise.

Personally I think he's destroying the Republican Party from the inside by satirising the absolutely ridiculous, archaic, inhuman views at the heart of its electorate.

A man who has voted Democrat in almost every election ever, paid millions to the party, openly supported the pro-choice stance, advocated gun control and been a close personal friend of the Clinton's for 20 years suddenly runs for President on a borderline Nazi ideology and no one asks a question?

If you want to see which one the establishment is really scared of, count up the airtime given between Trump and Sanders - i'd vote Sanders if i was american (i disagree with his support of Israel, but his other policies are sensible new deal solutions (but i'm probably a brainwashed european cultural marxist SJW as far as many americans are concerned)). Clinton is odious to be sure ('we came we saw he died' [maniacal laugh] - after watching a man loved by most of his people being bayonetted up the arse by paid terrorist thugs); Clinton and Trump would be equally establishment friendly in my view, but i'm more scared of trump (because he sounds like a fascist).

I think Trump is a showman who taps into the vein of anti-intellectualism and distrust of gubmint, which is laughable really when the real 'gubmint' of the country is far more people like trump (albeit more successful ones) than anyone in the political sphere. I wouldn't overstate the actual influence the office of the president has though; i'd see it more as if Donald Trump with his stated views gets in, it's because the oligarchs who run the place would find it convenient to use him to get some shit done; just like they found it convenient to get obama in last two times (to coopt the left into useless hopey-changey bollocks with no actual results).

I think he's absolutely fucking mental, and would love to see him as President just to see what would happen if it wasn't actually real life. Maybe it'd be good as a six part dark comedy or something. I don't think he could work with our leaders, no one takes him seriously

Dead on! Seems like Europeans feel like us Americans when it comes to trump. Lol! He's a universally recognized asshole! He should be voted biggest douche in the universe, lmfao!

I suspect that his nuttiness is at least partly a strategy to get that anti-establishment-establishment vote - as a rich person he had no problem hob-nobbing with the 'great and good' before. Maybe he'll be used like in the 'madman strategy'; ie if the world thinks there's a madman with his finger on the button, they may do what they say a bit more (can't remember if it was israel or Kissinger who invented the term). Or maybe the establishment wants a 'deniable' nutty presiddent at the helm while they get up to some nefarious world war plan, who they can get rid of after and say 'what were we thinking?'

All the candidates on either side sound batshit insane with the exception of bernie sanders who sounds like a pragmatist with more concern about whats going on domestically than trampling over the rest of the world and starting ww3 with russia. The rest are all either lunatics or have an apalling record on foreign policy (clinton specifically, look what she did to libya. If there is any justice she will be in jail soon on espionage charges for leaking government secrets via her private email account).

Europe itself is suffering because of politicians cynically exploiting the refugee influx, feeding the ring wing ignorance, xenophobia and whatnot of the less intelligent parts of the populace. Trump is doing exactly the same thing and too much media coverage is probably over-inflating the amount of knuckledragging fuckwits there really are out there that support his insane policies.

In short, we're all fucked whatever happens and the future looks pretty fucking bleak over the next few years.

Obama's shit his bed now that he's pissed off the NRA.

Whereas Trump has the backing of the KKK and Sarah Palin. Looks like you're fucked over there mate..
its a sad state of affairs over here for sure. Our elections seem to bring out all of our ugliness that lurks right below the surface of our culture here. I look back at how things seemed to be in like the 50s and that seems like a better place to be IMO. Now we have a total police state. I can't walk down the street without seeing cops, it wasn't like this in the 80s even, that's not so long ago, maybe it is, shit man lol, I'm getting old :( I used to be able to drive without a licence but now with all the cameras and scanners and barcodes u can't get away with anything anymore. If ur cars unregistered or uninsured the camera scans ur plate when u drive near it. Next it'll scan people for illnesses and shit and on and on til we all toe the line in every aspect of our lives. Honestly I'm glad I'll be dead and gone before it gets too outta control. No kids to worry about having to deal with this bullshit so I'm pretty free and clear, hmmm never thought about things this way before... Lol , sry for getting off track.
