What is the difference between sativa and indica ?

the type indica in my mind is a kinda short, squat hashplant with fat fingered leaves, acrid and pungent smells, and relaxing/ medicinal effects.

the type sativa in my mind is a tropical plant with thin and whispy buds, lots of branching, and with a more active, cerebral high.

but the world is not so black and white.

if you ask a budtender, they will prolly list off hybrids which tend to have fx that lean toward stereotypical sativa fx or indica fx (good luck finding any pure sativas or indicas, they will say they are "pure"... but 9/10, if you look at the pedigree, it's a modern commercial hybrid or an unknown modern commercial hybrid).

but also, even (and we talk about this a lot lol) legendary sativas can have different fx (ie panama red having a more mellow, albeit psychedelic stone)... and even pure afghani indicas can have anxiety- inducing highs.

and then there's india, where you can find SO much variety... good luck categorizing all of it.

Indica's hit me harder, which I'm perfectly fine with because weed does help me with sleeping.
Sativa isn't bad either though, just doesn't hit as me as strongly. Both are good.
As for individual strains and all of that, I don't grow, so that's not a thing I really know/care about, unless I get something that tastes really good like Fruity Pebbles.
 
Sativa looks like a "christmass tree". some kind.Much taller...not so broad leaves...mellow is sativa some kind,but is good...Indica is a lot sticky..lot resin....harder for me-strong..even hypnotic,but is also very good...just a few years back joint was stuck onto my mouth all the time...now even forgot how is look like.....life,,what'ch ya can do?
 
The best are the nearly 50/50 hybrids or around that.. Ice Wine kinda stuff... giggly, chill, little head stoned high, physically chill, no paranoia or anxiety, complete bliss, and syncs well with enviroment, so you know, do it on a sunny day (:

If it syncs well with the environment why would it matter if it's sunny? It should sync with the rain, sleet, snow, and clouds too...

Its a pretty subjective call on what "the best" is, as each person will react to each component of the plant in different ways.
 
Last info i read said that the whole Indica Sativa debate been derailed to a SF status.
And boiled it down to this, there 2 maybe 3 types of Cannabis.

Indica & Sativa and Ruderalis. The last makes up for the auto-flower section.
And Sativa and/ or Indica refer to Hemp and Cannabis/ Hennep. No clue which one.
Yeah i thought so a never-ending story. I get high on Hybrids, pure Sativa and Indica.

But the plants occur different ranging fro compact round brush to long strechte to the sun plants with smaller bud s tha are more growing in stalks pointing up .
Vs. big round bud s on smaller compact plants.

CBD weed don t get me high and i read Ruderalis is not that psychoactive either.
Candy Weed, Earthy Weed Kush and Skunk get me high.
But i never experienced more or less couch lock then a uplifting Sativa high.
I love Haze, Candy Weed s like Skittles, Mobb Deep, Chocolate.
The earthy taste is kinda nasty [moldy to me serious restricts me buying it to often]
but i like the high. But the taste ad smell are most important.

I have what they call the nose, its not only big but i works a bit to good imo.

But all Cannabis with THC gets me high, the reason i love Haze is the taste.
Maybe it is the profile/ composition but if its to subtle to put my finger on it.
