What is that one thing you've never done, seen, or experienced yet?

I never broke a bone either. That may be due to me having good amount of calcium (milk) n vitamin D. When we were kids it was "GET OUT N PLAY!" none of this sit in front of a TV screen all day bollox. Kids knew how to be kids when i was a kid (35 now) but now they're miniture adults or zombies stuck in front of a computer screen. Anyone seen Doctor Who where they're all upgraded ready to be turned into cybermen? They're like zombies sat by computers, yea. That's our kids. I've not taught my kid how to use a computer yet. We go for walks in the real world where she's getting vitamin D, she drinks her milk n has her vitamins. May as well just buy a computer these days if ye want a kid - that's basically what they are their faces being permenantly attached to a computer n all.

Don't worry Max, I can't drive either use the bus If i can't be arsed with the bus I walk the 7 miles from town.

I have never learnt to drive. I had a few lessons before quitting because i didn't have a great instructor and it kinda put me off from trying again which i regret. When i manage to get a fulltime job i think i will then make an effort to take lessons again and pass my test. I think i'm the only one of my friends without a license at my age(44). I never got to see my son grow up or attend any of his school sports days.
Sad to say that i've never had a perm even in the 1980's

Do you have a clean provisional ? as I recall your not far away ? you need proper lessons to pass a test but I've got an automatic at the mo maybe we could arrange a bit of a taster to get you started, I;ve done the same for a couple of others in the past, it a rush so something I rarely pass up.

If you really want to make a start on it the offer is there, assuming I;m right that your within an hour if me,drop me a PM the weather is warning up

I've never hit my kids. Well apart from martial arts training and playing crunching tackles in the park

There we have something in common although I'm loathed to judge anyone else for doing so, at least when it comes to dealing with toddlers and the light smacked on the hand to communicate the seriousness of not doing what ever....I never had need to do so though.

I was hit at home by both parents and at school on a regular basis and can clearly recall seeing it for the bullshit it was from an early age. I don't swear or verbally abuse at my kids of hit them and I don't expect them to swear or verbally abuse in the housed or hit each other or anyone else, I accept that they may do so outside the house but hope they learn to do so only when appropriate.

Both my kids are well behaved both in my opinion and in that of their schools, I may well have been lucky but I doubt it, discipline is pretty easy with little kids, you control their whole world and identifying things to deny them access to as punishment isnt hard, send my 12 year old to bed an hour early and it's like the end of the world.

So to try and bring this round, I haven't yet achieved being the parent I aspire to be, the parent that doesn't do the things I felt mine got wrong and does do the things I thought they got right, I guess you need to be nearing the end of your life to be able to claim that

Never hit my kids either, but my parents are from a totally different generation.

Wow! Nice, I hope this is something you want. I moved around a lot in my youth but have been in same city now 15 years. :\

It wasn't very nice when we were still kids, moving to different schools- sometimes when you are just adapting.:\
On the other hand we learned a lot, have always someone to see. We once hosted a friend for six months! I guess we never learned to say goodbye :)
