What is that one thing you've never done, seen, or experienced yet?

Are you saying you are a budgie smuggler kind of guy when you go for a swim?

ewwww where does one even go to procure such images??

Same. Although I like being in water; as I'm a totally short sighted git it removes much of the enjoyment for me. The last time I went to a public swimming baths I couldn't see which was the deep end, so I took a guess, jumped in and nearly broke both kneecaps on the very shallow floor....

Nasty as fuck.

A quick hop, skip and jump to the wank bank?

I've never worn shorts as an adult. I hope to be able to maintain this dignified stance throughout the remainder of my time.

I remember you stating your aversion to shorts on another occasion.

What about really hot and humid days and if you're cycling or hiking or doing anything physical that might cause 'overheating'? (during the one or 2 weeks a year we might get when its +25C)

It feels great having the sun and breeze on your limbs and having the freedom and opportunity for them to be able to 'breathe', rather than suffocate and get all clammy, sweaty, sticky and generally yucky. Btw i have truly horrendous legs, its not as if i wear shorts to show off a nice pair of legs, they are very thin, white, hairy and gangly and nobbly knees to boot.

The best thing about it all imo is that i dont care in the least even if it is a horrendous sin against taste or fashion or w/e. Its all down to the comfort and practicality of it for me.

Before you ask, I dont wear white socks with sandals to go with my shorts. Im not quite that bad.8(

Cycling? Hiking? Me? 8o

If the cut of my trousers allows it, I may sometimes roll them up and expose my milk-white calves, depending on the company.

I've worn dresses as an adult, but never shorts. I'm fond of putting a towel around my waist, but without a safety pin, this has resulted in disaster on at least one occasion.

Have I already ranted about shorts? I'm sorry!

Just the once to my knowledge, before this one. No need to apologise. Im getting this thread mixed up with the room 101 thread, as i was about to say you're free to cast shorts into room 101 should you wish.

How about if they are worn by females though? Those 'skort' things are quite fetching though dont you think? I dont think ive ever seen anybody wearing them though IRL apart from pics on the internet or on TV. It seems Manchester females don't do skorts, just shorts for the sporty types or miniskirts for those with nice legs.

I have never learnt to drive. I had a few lessons before quitting because i didn't have a great instructor and it kinda put me off from trying again which i regret. When i manage to get a fulltime job i think i will then make an effort to take lessons again and pass my test. I think i'm the only one of my friends without a license at my age(44). I never got to see my son grow up or attend any of his school sports days.
Sad to say that i've never had a perm even in the 1980's

I've never been to Burning Man and want to go there for my 50th birthday in 2016.

Do it Do it Do it!

Its expensive and you need to do a lot of planning and it can be dangerous, but even as a veteran of the free festival scene over here, Burning man is the peak.

I have a saving pot started and know of a few BLer's out there who'd give good advice and guidance. It's my 50th goal!

did you see this:why do you think you should have been in a septic tank by now?
i'm lucky enough to have done all three. i can highly recommend them :)

If you lived closer Id give you lessons at 'mates rates'. It would be good to get to meet you, and also rewarding to help someone achieve a goal. Id quite like to be a driving instructor as a career change, but apparently there is a huge glut of qualified instructors and not enough jobs to go round for them all. The instructor course costs around £4,000 iirc, which is a huge investement, especially as your chances of getting work after qualifyng as an instructor are very low. If the prospects of getting work were better I think Id definately go for it. I think Id enjoy it.
