What is Pyridine Barbituric Acid?
I was randomly going through some engineering books (of which I understood very little) but my eye did catch something interesting: a reference to a chemical called "Pyridine Barbituric Acid".
What exactly is this? I am aware that Pyridine is a toxic solvent. But I am trying to understand the nature, in layman's terms, of what this chemical is. Is it just a salt of barbituric acid? If so, wouldn't that mean that they can be separated the barbituaric acid isolated (a la Veronal)?
If this transgresses the rules in any way, then mods feel free to delete...
