Maybe just a little PLUR...........

I have to tell you how much I love reading your posts, please don't ever leave or I will drag you back here and make sure you continue to post. <3 :)

I agree, I really like reading RGB's stuff.

I don't understand why some of you think the concept of plur is some far-out concept that people only experience under the influence. Ever since my first rave, getting on the bus with a fuckton of people who are all right next to each other but stuck in their own little world not saying a damn word seems a lot more strange to me than 'plur'. It's like that scene in waking life, where he bumps into the redhead and she talks about not just wanting to be another 'ant in the colony.'

I'm not saying I walk around smiling and touching everybody in my day to day life, but I try to maintain a positive attitude and be more social with strangers. I think the idea of plur could do wonders for a society with autonomous and equal interaction for all in mind. Unfortunately that is not the society we live in.

What jam uh weezy said.
There is no E in PLUR, but sometimes it helps to have it around. :)

The PLUR starts at not looking nasty at people that step on your foot by accident (parties are usually crowded)... or something like that.

Exactly. Plur is just generally a optimistic positive ;/

Saying sorry to the person spinning poi after they hit you in the head with it....

Unless they are spinning fire, and in that case its your own damn fault for walking in front of them....

Speaking of this I dressed up as a kandi kid for halloween and gave away 100 kandi bracelets and over 300 glow sticks. Some of the bracelets said "PLUR" and a few girls came back to find me and ask what it meant. They all loved it.

It shouldnt be about drugs. Im not going to lie x helped me discover a way to express something that ive always seen as way someone should live their life. You dont need to give away things for free or break your back for others to be plur you just have to show those 4 things before you know someone.

Its hard to explain but its a nice little way to live your life, especially with todays pop culture. PLUR is definately missing not gone but hard to find.

I was wondering what percentage of people that attend raves actually know what PLUR is. I'm sure it depends on your area and scene, but what would you say in your experience? They don't have to actually know the abbreviation, but an understanding and acceptance of its principles is enough.

I've gone to raves where some high school aged looking girls would be extremely friendly while rolling; I wouldn't say they understand PLUR. In Detroit, I once went to a rave where people that front hard would come to get drunk and party. I accidentally bumped into someone while getting around the small venue and said "Sorry about that, my bad." The reply? "That's right, your bad." Definitely no understanding of PLUR there.

I take PLUR to heart and believe that everyone should get along; everyone has the ability to love one another despite drastic differences and perspectives. My family was huge on respect and understanding, and that's probably what's made me the extremely tolerant person I am today.

I think at any large gathering of people, there are bound to be a few people who care only for themselves. especially a subculture that is heavily associated with drug use, there are gonna be those people who go for that reason only. their own hedonistic selfish tendencies.

i encountered a few assholes last night, but i just ignored them, not worth my time. there was one chola girl in line trying to fight with this white chick, saying shit like "this is LA bitch, fuckin white girl dont know whats up with this shit blah blahblah." 8)
