Not weird at all. I still have a soft spot for hydrocodone, as it was my DOC for about 5 years (as you can see it is still my avatar here

). I still take it every once in a while, but I need at least 50mg to make it worthwhile. I've grown to love Roxi's (oxycodone), but especially in the beginning I preferred hydro. It's a more social euphoria, and that's really my favorite thing to get out of opiates. For example I now regularly use Oxymorphone (generic Opana ER), and for a very long time I actually preferred hydro to even insufflated oxymorphone. I hated (and still don't really like) the fact that it is very easy to nod on oxymorphone, and be pretty much useless. It's an enjoyable drug and will rock your world for sure, but I'm not a fan of taking much Opana if I'm going to be around friends. It's just too strong and such a fine line between recreational and a zombie. I also for some reason feel that oxymorphone is a "dirtier" high than hydrocodone or oxycodone. If I take just a little more than I should, I get symptoms like memory loss, mind racing with the most random thoughts, and just overall feeling insane.
I'm a rare opiate addict that doesn't enjoy nodding. I have a thread on the topic somewhere around here. I think that is mainly because I started out on hydrocodone, and am used to using opiates as a tool for social anxiety. Anytime I start to nod, I always try to fight it by being active and downing caffeine. My idea of a perfect opiate experience these days is 60mg of Oxycodone and going to dinner with friends.
