What is really happening to me when i shoot a nice gooey 35 up 2 the brain. WHY?is there a bomb caugh we love. such a quick rush. how it eats your whole body up with the best feeling so fast. whats our brain saying?? how can that little amount of liquid meth enter my vain (to my brain to go so insane) and take me from lets not do anything to u want to do something ok lets get the magic carpet and fly there. every thing is good or it seems when im high. even the relationship with parents. but why is comedown such a killer. i know all that goes up must come down but i guess its probably cuz your higher than life you must come down lower than it. Im just wondering whats really going on upstairs.. thanks and wisdom from anyone is much appreciated

erm, it's all based on the chemistry of the brain. methamphetamine releases LOADS of dopamine, serotonin, and norepinephrine. All of which are part of the brain's reward system.

in other words.....it releases chemicals that make that what you are doing is right and makes you feel really good.

Nah thats all there is to it, but the come down is so bad because of the surged release of these motivating and feel good energy neurotransmitters that they become depleted seretoinin from a decent pill of mdma takes to weeks to replenish and the dopanine receptors become just permanently fukt.

It's not that hard to find information on methamphetamine's mechanism of action, but basically it causes a release of the neurotransmitters dopamine, noradrenaline and serotonin. Take dopamine as an example, this neurotransmitter works as a 'reward' - that is, it gives an organism pleasure after completing a certain action, reinforces that action and gives the animal an incentive to repeat that behaviour. Organisms have evolved to receive this neurochemical reward when doing something beneficial to their survival - things like eating and having sex. Using meth triggers that reward pathway but much more intensly than anything natural. Since we've evolved to repeat behaviours that trigger this system, it's no wonder it's so addictive. The reward pathway is such a fundamental aspect of human nature that it's very hard to override with rational evaluations of its harm.

The brain is constantly trying to achieve homeostasis so using meth regularly will cause it to downregulate receptors to lessen the effects of meth. Unfortunately this means when the meth is taken away, you'll feel a whole lot more shit than usual. If your brain has adapted to receiving a dose of meth to feel pleasure, the pleasure from normal activities just wont register. This leaves the world a pretty grey, dull and depressing place. Hence why many addicts go back to the drug.

can you tell the quality of ice by the way it melts down when you smoke it? how would i know if its fire or junk,besides smoking it,feeling it...its clear,large shards..i usually do dope and im new to this whole ice thing,i want to know wtf im doing before i get it,so i dont get ripped off or try to get high on some bullshit...whatever anyone knows about telling quality of ice,let me know

The cut will generally freeze back solid before the meth and will have a white color while the meth will be a sort of golden color. But the only real test is the high. OP, I always assumed the cough was due to the fact that blood travels to the lungs before going back to the heart and then out to the whole body.

someone once told me that if it melts down and becomes dark,its shit.when i melt this shit,its clear but after i hit it a few times it turns to a darker golden color.someone said thats bc im burning it on accident,not bc its junk.so im tryin to get my facts straight n fig out wtf im doing here.i mean,if its clear shards that melt,roll,and smoke easily,how could it be junk? is there any other ways to test it? how many hits would an average person have to take to feel it,if its decent shit(not the best or the worst,just average..) and of course,the guy i meet with about it says im just burning it,stop being paranoid, pull off the flame and that he does it too and its good...but why would i believe him,maybe he has a fire connect for personal n thats why hes all tweaked,ya feel me.

The best stuff crackles as it heats and takes a long time to melt, but once it does, smokes for ages with the heat taken away and takes a long time to recrystallise in the pipe. It also looks like a drop of water in the pipe that rolls around easily and doesn't seem to stick to the glass. There should be no residue left in the pipe and hardly any white shit left in the stem of the pipe. Also, pure stuff has very little taste and should very very smooth on your throat and lungs, if you're coughing, it's shit.

ok then,this,when i first melted it down,did crackle,i took like 2 fat hits off it n it still put off smoke by itself for a min(not alot tho) when i set it down,not alot of white shit in the stem and at first it was like a drop of water,rolled easily,but then it turned to brown,im not coughing but it doesnt taste good at all,i had to take a drink of soda after i hit it..blech..did i burn this or is it booty or even fake? its weird bc it would seem its real stuff,and decent at that..good size pieces of clear ice.i cannot get to the bottom of this tho..

The sense of pleasure isn't false, it's very real. Methamphetamine basically acts as a magical key that lets all the happy chemicals out of their jail cells inside your bran to come into the street and get fucked up and party.
