that makes me want to hold on
tighter than i ever have before?

that i finally feel i can take a risk
put myself on the line

why is it that you
can take away any bad moods
and put a smile on my face?
why is it that
when you hold me
i feel so safe?
granted, yes,
i still have my doubts
but a past filled with heartbreak
is one that should not
be made into a future
but for some reason
you make me want to forget my past
and all the heartache
and you make me remember
how it is to fall for someone
to always have you on my mind
what is it about you
that makes me want to love you?
why do i feel when you say
'i understand'
you really mean it
you actually know what i'm talking about
and what i went through
i have faith in you
and in us
and i hope
with all my might
that you stay with me
that you will think of me
even when i'm not around
that you will call just to say
'i miss you'
sometimes i'm still incredulous
about what is happening between us
it's blowing me away
i'm taken by surprise
shocked to find
that i'm ready to open myself up to you
that i'm ready to take your hand
and (almost completely) believe
that you won't let me fall.
