I'm going to be the contrarian here. have mixed feelings about heroin. When somebody says "it's the best feeling ever," that's relative. I think it depends on how you are wired, your brain chemistry, and your previous experience. For some, it's fantastic, but for others it is only so-so. That includes myself. It is over-rated. It still feels good but not so good as it is often described. Even the first time I tried it, I was disappointed due to my high expectations. I wondered whether or not I had gotten a large enough dose or something was wrong with it. So I immediately prepped another shot and did it. This improved the buzz only slightly. But I soon realized that I had taken more than I needed. This was 2 doses and everyone else had only one. I barfed when I went to get drink of water and had to lie down for a little while until I felt better. I still enjoyed the buzz, but it was much more subtle than I had expected.
I admit that I still like to do it or another opioid/opiate once a year or so on my birthday or something. It's good in a very relaxing and focusing kind of way. I like it better than alcohol, but it's not as great as it is made out to be. I can think of a number of things that make me feel better than ingesting heroin makes me feel, and they aren't related to drugs.
