I need help or knowledge into what may be happening to my spoons periodically, and has happened enough times that I now can distinguish when it is going to be an issue and when the spoons will work “normally”
Basically when cooking some good high quality coke I am left with clean looking water , nice rock, but when my spoons are problematic they look and feel to have some kind of residue or oil or substance PUT onto them that make it impossible to achieve a successful cook , they oil will partially separate from the water but than it just slowly dissolves back into the cook water , leaving me with half yield and very oily cook water and the spoon does not clean off unless boiled and wiped and then scrubbed with soda, multiple times . And even then it sometimes won’t fix this issue. The oily water still has lots of product in it but won’t cook out when adding more sofa as it just keeps dissolving when it puddles up .
It mat be worth mentioning that this problem doesn’t slowly occur gradual, everything will be fine for weeks and than it’s like the cook spoons won’t foam up my product, won’t separate the oil from the water
The spoons will go from being a stainless steel colour to a much lighter color I have noticed when the problem happens
I don’t want to sound paranoid but I feel like it. Ould be sabotage the way this happens
