To be honest - I don't know. Nitrazepam is more similar to Diazepam with long duration and muscle relaxing properties...it is "more rounded, more typical" benzo and I heard lot of people liking it very much. I dont like it that much cause it doesn't feel as clean as diazepam. Regarding it's use as a hypnotic there is too much hsngover/day after effects. It is completely different feeling compared to midazolam.
It is always shown as being the same potency as diazepam and I found that it's muscle relaxing properties is quite strong. That only coupled with the duration and could make nitrazepam rated as enjoyable and strong benzo. Plus more hypnotic benzos seem to have better favourably in people who like to take benzodiazepines for recreational purposes. So on the paper it has all halmarks of the benzo that would be liked.
Midazolam on the other hand is completely different feeling. I feel it more clinical in it's use as a hypnotic. One moment your there writing post on BL 10 minutes after taking it and 30 minutes later you pass out. People with high tolerance to benzos tend to rate it higher in enjoyability as they are able to take 30mg and stay awake. But that's not what I am looking for from a hypnotic benzo. I just want to sleep.

@Drag2019 you could be a great metaboliser of nitrazepam and it hits you fast and hard while you absorb less midazolsm than average person. Or you simply like nitrazepam much more than midazolam. As I said - I simply dont know...but am trying to guess. In the end it is a good thing that nitrazepam suits you better as peascription for it is much easier to ge compared to midazolam.
So Nitrazepam sounds quite hefty, less clean more Hypnotic. Maybe the only advantage a some what shorter hallive/ active state.
Diazepam i received 5 days 1-st 80 [overkill/ sleep whole day, woke all night]. Halved and so on to day 0 of Alcohol Detox.
Actually it worked better covering stopping & missin my deared MJ, which was required ! Urine control.
Its warm, hazey and lazy. Chills you, at a dose of 10-10-20, you get munchies just nothing of the stimulating,
social lubricating and creative enhancement. In concern to Alcohol little but making it somewhat tolerable and sleeping through it.
Especially getting me through the days in this sort mix of a jail and mental instuition. Total absurd, opposit of reality.

No Weed but Diazepam kept dragging me through. Left day 17, I had enough. Went home.

12 days [last UC] after the last day of intake [5 total] still feeling it and detectable in my urine as THC which I dindn t feel,
nor the HHC i took the last day.[still from the day before intake durin total abstinence ].
They do lab test on your urine to check for spikes in THC or Benzos a.o.,
Midazolam is the excact opposit very sharp curve hits you, your out. 4 hours pass and you wake again.
Bit like GHB, but then the non-recreative benzo version unlike Temazepam ime. Also hits hard short duration, but enjoyable.
So depends on your sleeping problem if fallin in is the only problem Midazolam could work.
The other 2 way to long and heavy i d prefer, the good old blister packed
Etizolam.
Perfect it takes effect not to fast nor to long and wellrounded sleep duration, no groginess at reasonable dose.
And somewhat more gentle it seems and forgiving. Though that might just be its trap.
