1.What is more euphoric?
- oxycodone is easier to stay awake on while hydrocodone is a lot more sedating, both make you nod but hydrocodone makes it easier, depends what you like but in 80% of all cases oxycodone is the winner
2.What is safer?
- safest is whichever has the least amount of acetaminophen, otherwise pretty similar since they are almost equipotent however oxycodone depresses breathing slightly less yet noticeably so
3.What one will be less addicting? (If that's even possible).
- this depends if you are a recluse, introspective type that loves the nod (for me the nod is the entire reason for using) or if you love the upbeat, energetic, talkative part (usually this is the rush & can only be achieved via needles & smoking to a lesser degree). People that love the rush do more repeat, smaller doses in order to get the rush or the up feeling rather than a normal dose, when the nod comes on they usually do something to keep from nodding while others if they don't nod they don't get off. The people that like the rush claim they love the nod as well and I'm sure they welcome it but this precisely is the reason why there is a certain group of people that claim morphine to be the ultimate opioid from a list of 20+ other stronger opioids - b/c it offers the highest amount of sedation & nodding is the main event, while some people that IV Dilaudid/hydromorphone don't really welcome IV morphine nearly as much. Both oxy and hydro are semi synthetic opioid (you should know what that means) but oxy is definitively more uppy than hydro when taken oral.
4.What one will last longer?
- hydrocodone, assuming you are taking them orally
When I got my 1st 80mg oxy in 03' I didn't know you were supposed to remove the wax so I crushed up 40mg without a tolerance (remember thinking 'how the fuck do people snort this? but so many use it that it has to work') so even if it is true that the time release was found in the wax, with zero tolerance to opioids I had 40mg of oxycodone split into 4 lines with 2 in each nostril. With my last line I was thinking damn this is useless and ate a quarter (without chewing) and within 15min I knew I was high, very high.
First time I tried oxy was in the form of Percocet 5mg in 2001, after reading so much I took 1 5mg pill and waited half hour, then began increasingly convinced it wasn't enough once 40min passed so I got up from my couch and took another 5mg pill. As I stood up, by the time the 2nd pill was down my throat and before I lied on the couch again I was already feeling what I later found out was called the 'rush'. Honest to God, from an oral dose of 5mg without tolerance I was experiencing a mild rush but a rush nevertheless. As I was on the couch enjoying the powerful euphoric effects the 2nd pill kicked in which became apparent through an *extreme* fear of nodding of to sleep and not waking up (did I mention I was opioid naïve

) so I put some Manson on to keep awake while surfing the web semi nodding, meanwhile euphoria was gone as I was overcome with fear and only when I was sure it had wore off did I go to sleep, still very, very high vouching never to take (at least) that much again. The very next day I took my 1st dose of the day 2 pills in one go, ever since it became my life mission to get ahold of oxycodone/Percocet, which didn't find until the oxycodone experience mentioned above due to one factor which blew my dreams out of the water...the cost which was/is $5 a piece but when I got my 1st oxycodone, an oxy 80 I got it from someone who sold both Percocet 5mg for $5 and oxycontin 80mg for $6, I got a job handing out flyers making $20-$30 every 1 or 2 weeks but it was more than enough for me to afford it...now whoever is reading it is probably laughing but the same response back then would be greeted as a sign of craziness, on your part lol
Living in Canada we don't have Vicodin nor do we get any hydrocodone pill forms/preparation at all and in over 10+ yrs of heavy use I've seen & used every opioid you can name but never seen Vicodin in Canada. Instead we get prescribed Tylenol 3 or Tylenol 4 which is used a lot like Vicodin in the states.
*All* my hydrocodone encounters have been via cough syrup which is the only preparation I have seen hydrocodone used during this time and I've gotten it from my family physician for severe coughs when codeine syrup wasn't enough.
Personally I prefer hydrocodone over oxycodone any day due to its longer and more sedating effects, both are euphoric but oxycodone especially if snorted I would more accurately describe as a relaxing stimulant.
