My Q is what the hell are they selling that is SUPPOSED to be meth? It looks like chards, tastes somewhat like meth, burns a tad like meth, but when you snort it, it is instant "crack out" horrible crash, paranoia, (weirder than normal) didnt feel like meth that much at all and made me have damn nausea for a week afterwards, (which in my case doesnt normally happen) I wasnt the only one who experienced this nasty batch and everyone who did experienced things out of the ordinary. Yuck. WTF
 
Probably just a wave of some bad stovetop shit. My friend had this same shit, Snorted it and went fucking nuts.
 
Probably unreacted ephedrine left in there. I've had some really awful side effects that lasted for days after smoking poorly reduced ephedrine.

Yea, the two are often spoken of or sold interchangeably (though a regular methamp fan can tell the difference). For those not in the know: methamphetamine is made from amphetamine, methcathinone is made from ephedrine, pseudoephedrine, or the plant khat. Methcath is usually more available but less popular; it's easier to make (hence chance of lower quality, such as containing unprocessed ephedrine) but is said to have less euphoria. ...oops, I shouldn't have said that-- some "cat" fan is gonna tell me otherwise I'm sure. :) Well nuts to them, I have no desire to try any type of meth.
 
No, noone would go through the process of making amph just to convert it to methamph. Both methamph and methcat are (commonly) made from ephedrine, it's just easier to make methcat.

Yep, he's right. RARELY is meth made from amphetamine -- if you've ever tried to add a methyl group you'll know why. It's a fucking bitch.

Meth can be made just as easily from ephedrine or pseudoephedrine. Doesn't matter which you use with the most common routes of manufacture.

But yeah, methcat is a whole lot easier to make.

Still, anyone who has ever had meth will recognize very quickly if they get methcat instead. The differences are quite distinct.
