i've been a pain patient for years. The doctors are always so limited on what they give, so I decided to see two doctors. I know I'm not supposed to do that, but I got tired of feeling guilty. (ha) today, 2 years after seeing both doctors and getting a half dose from both (not going over a full day's dose limit) one of them asked me to sign a contract. (In US) I signed, because how could i not. but, i am scared what will happen if the other doctor finds out. i know this is technically "bad" of me, but i've done what i felt i had to. i've seen both docs for a long time, so i can't imagine the other will do a search for something. but, my question is... what happens when I sign it? is my name added to a database? if i've already established with a doc will they know i signed elsewhere? should i leave that doc and find a new one? (naturally i should talk to the other and try to get a full dose, but i'm scared). what would happen? sometimes i take a couple extra to let myself relax (i've got a chronic illness that makes every day a chore) but mostly stay within the amount that seems safe for me thx.

I'm surprised your doctor doesn't know already because they, I believe, can have access to information regarding your refills.
