Misc What happens if you're on MMT and lose a lot of weight?

Assuming it occurs after reaching your max dose. Since methadone is such a potent drug, could it conceivably cause an overdose at losses of body weight that are fairly typical (let's say a 220 lb person loses 35 pounds)? Or would the loss of fat actually cause the reverse situation of precipitating withdrawals since methadone is very highly fat soluble, and some of it is stored there long term?

PS: It's a bit ironic how the initialism of this board is OD :/
 
On paper, if you've been a chronic methadone user with high % body fat, and you suddenly lose a bunch of that fat, your blood level of methadone (& its fat soluble metabolites) can be expected to rise.
