What happened to the front page news stories?

I enjoyed the front page news articles that the old version of bluelight used to have. They would usually get a lot of responses too. Are there any plans to resurrect the Front Page news on bluelight?

Other than that just check the Drugs in the Media forum on your own I suppose.

I don't know about any future plans to resurrect that, but just in case you don't know - those 'Front Page' articles used to be automatically populated* by threads from the 'Drugs in the Media' forum. So you're not really missing much, you can just view the entire forum directly, same as before.


[* well... something like that. i think stickied threads from DiTM ended up on the front page?)

^I don't think it was was auto but that the DitM staff picked/monitored them and requested help from their admin to do the dirty work.

didn't there used to be a subforum of DiTM called 'The Front Page'? phrozen will know for sure.

^Haha I definitely defer to you then. Remember now all I can come up with is a while back there were complaints of it not being updated and I thought the answer was "well DitM staff haven't been on the ball recommending them" which may have made me assume the rest? Whatever.

Articles deemed “highly significant” by the moderators may be “promoted” to the Front Page, which is seen on the bluelight.ru homepage.

Well I'm not much for browsing drug related news in DitM, but I did enjoy some of the more significant stories. Seeing them at a glance when I opened up the home page was very convenient.

I remember now - I stickied a thread in Announcements and it ended up on the front page. other things I have written here may or may not be accurate.
