Is it going off topic? This thread was about what happened to someones friends while rolling and now it's about you being a narc and whether or not that's cool. I'd say it went off topic a long time ago. Anyway, I think you kind of missed the point, which was that I think it's laughable that you use "it's an insult to the education process" as justification for your narcory (haha, yes I know this is not a real word). If you really think about it, since we are all forced to go to school until a certain age, be it private or public, it stands to reason that some people don't give a shit about school. So you honestly think that your opinion of "the education process" is the standard that should be followed and everyone who "spits on that" deserves a serious amount of trouble?

Look dude, I think rolling at school is dumb, and I didn't do it. It's a waste of a good roll. I saved my rolls for the weekend when I was raving. But I also believe that people have the right to be stupid if they want, and that includes rolling at school, which again, they are forced to go to until a certain point. I seriously doubt you'd see anyone who pays for their own college rolling at school. It's like smoking weed in your car. I think it's pretty dumb, and for me it's completely unnecessary. But that doesn't mean that I want all the people that do it to get pulled over and arrested, because I have principles and I don't wish harm upon people who don't hurts others, even if they're being stupid.

Ratting someone out for rolling would fuck up their life so bad, it's insane. They would get expelled AND there would be legal consequences. The fact that you see nothing wrong with this makes you a scum bag. And of course you want this thread closed now... because people are calling you out for being a jerk. Sorry... but that's what most people think of narcs.

Good, I don't want a possible future co-worker to be an idiot who uses during school or on the job so better he gets expelled with a record now. I don't care what he does during his free time, but trust me, in the industry I want to go in this kind of shit would never fly over. Every kid at my school will probably narc on you if you were rolling at my school, it's competitive and not for the weak of heart.

If you were on ADD meds to help you study during class, I wouldn't give a crap, but if I saw a retard drooling and making stupid grins then you are gone.
 
Making stupid mistakes as a teenager does not necessarily mean they're an idiot, and no one deserves to have a mistake like that haunt them for the rest of their life. Legal trouble is a LONG battle. If we lived in a world where what you ingest was left up to you, it would be slightly different, but you're talking about fucking up someone's life, and you don't see anything wrong with that. If your school is really so competitive, why not let the kid's poor performance speak for itself? If others in your school feel the same as you, why not let social ostracism run it's course? If these hypothetical kids are really idiots, they likely won't last long in your "industry". Do you see it as your duty to weed them out? Why not let the industry decide who's got value?

Do you ever do drugs at parties? Some people think this is "ruining the scene" and wish the same on you. Do you think that it would be cool of them to rat you out to the police? Very low man.... seems like you have some control issues. Glad I don't know you.

This is slightly exaggerated. Rolling at school isn't really unsafe, it's just a waste. You won't get hurt rolling at school, though you do risk some trouble. Also, I hate when people are high and mighty about being responsible when using ecstasy. I am very proud of the way I use drugs, I enjoy them more now that I am responsible, but you have to admit that making mistakes is a great way to learn, and overstepping boundaries is the way you learn what your boundaries are. I would say that MANY ecstasy users start out using way too much, but get over that phase. The information is out there, they've heard it before, yet it never stops people from abusing at times, and that's why it's pretty pointless to shove it down their throats. Coming off as preachy never helps. He'll learn why it's not a good idea, and until he does, nothing you or I say to him will change his current view. All we can do it put the information out there, and let people make their own decisions.

I am part of the problem, the equation, and the solution. If you say I am personally weeding out the bad, wouldn't that also be considered the industry or the school doing the deed since I am a part of that environment? Also, I've never heard of a high school kid being arrested for using at school, probably suspension or expulsion(Which is just as bad if you even care about your future education) but no legal action. That's just silly, if he wasn't selling or in possession then nothing "legal" will happen. What's your goal here anyways? Trying to make me feel bad? Not going to happen, I detest individuals who cannot use half their brains to know that rolling in a school or work setting isn't smart. I was a teenager once, I fucked around a lot, but did I ever think that doing drugs at school or work was smart? Fuck no, only a true idiot would even consider something like that, if your subjective morality isn't in question and the risk isn't enough to scare you then guess what needs to happen, a little life lesson.

Sounds like he just ate too much e... has happened to me but only if I'm just sitting around (like at school) if I'm at a show or somewhere moving around I usually don't get sick.
 
When I said part of the industry, I was speaking of your employers in the future. If someone in your school was rolling so hard they were drooling as you mentioned earlier, then the teachers would likely know something was up and disciplinary action would follow. Personally, I don't drool when I roll and actually I'm pretty in control and could roll in school without being overly obvious. I just wouldn't because I think it's dumb, not worth the risk, and a waste of a roll.

I knew several people who got arrested in school for drugs, some had something on them, but I know for a fact one didn't, and the police were brought into the equation every single time. Also, I have experience with expulsion, and it is an ugly legal mess as well. No, it wasn't for drugs or anything like that, but I was required to sit in many government hearings and it was suggested that I serve some time in Juvenal Detention. I was also transferred to a horrible state school for all the "bad kids". Fortunately my parents moved me and I got to finish school at a community college instead. Anyway, all of this is just to point out that I have experience with expulsion, and for me at least, it was a nasty legal mess. I don't think any school would simply suspend you, drugs are a big no no, though I could be wrong.

I think we can both agree that rolling at school is a terrible idea, and I'd advise against it. I can see making fun of something for doing stupid things like rolling at school, but it's still low to rat someone out for it. It's so heartless. If they were acting that stupid, they'd get caught. There is no goal here. I'm not trying to make you feel anything, I just was telling you my opinion. It's was a pretty outrageous reaction in my mind and worth of a response. Honestly I feel a tiny bit bummed for you, cause I can't imagine what it would be like to be that uppity. I like to let people be. I don't understand why you think you need to be teaching reckless teenagers life lessons. They'll fuck up, they'll learn.

dawg chill out , r u a teacher or somthing lol, no diss but either this fool will learn or he wont u cant teach or save everybody , some of the most important lissons learnded r from mistakes, ok in his mind theres nothing wrong with selling possible bunk tabs at school and poisoning his buddies for a few bucks. mabey one day he will , in the mean time theres no use arguing with s1 who is not in the same mindset as you. bing and yo kid think of it as constructive critisizm, ok we all good just b safe ok . u got lucky , prolly dont push it ,just so u know its wayway worse to sell in a school zone if u ever get busted

I didnt start this thread because I wanted to know how you guys felt about drugs and public school. I just wanted some information on what made my friend trip out.

I didnt condone him rolling at school nor would I roll at school, actually thats a lie I probably would Im pretty stupid.

everyone needs to chill out. This IS a harm reduction forum and people will disapprove of activities that may go against that. As long as you understand the risk, there's no reason to keep prattling on about how rolling at school is bad. I have no place to disapprove of it, however, as I rolled at school all the time as a teen. No more flaming or name calling, please. Share the PLUR!!
 
Sigh, Crunchy doesn't seem to see how much of a, well, negative person he actually is. The fact that he isn't talking about how much you should roll but where you should roll is quite saddening. I'd hate to be your friend yo, I've personally never rolled at school but plenty of my brilliant friends have. Your argument has no value and you're generalizing everything in your experience being too hardheaded to see it from the other side of the fence.
