What great band have you just discovered?

This Mortal Coil. A supergroup/band which is composed of all of the early 4AD members, including Dead Can Dance and Xymox. I found them out by asking a man at a small music store if he had any Dead Can Dance, and he ripped out 'This Mortal Coil - It'll end in tears'. Needless to say I fell in love with it the moment the neede hit the vinyl.

it was a fun show, some of their rhymes are hilarious
Yeah I really like how intelligent and funny some of their lyrics are. The type of stuff that stops you in your tracks and you say, "Is this a reference to how America = Pick up trucks to the rest of the world?"

And I would sort of agree, Mind. I definitely don't like all their songs but the few I do like, I LOVE!

Any Greeks out there? Zeibekiko Acapella From Sidiropoulos (opws monos autos borouse)

For once i'd like my destiny to trick,
and christ's temptations a little to endure.
Outcast with the devil,in the desert lost
and i WOULD tell you later, who would have won,
i would light up a huge bong so everyone got high,
spirits,leprechauns, together the archdevils.

And everyone would have a 5 lover company,
for to prepare our needles while exotic dancing.
I'd also call ALL my brothers so we don't disturb the outsiders,
women welcome also that would like all of a man's faults.
And in the devil's lair we would set-up endless parties

And Kashmir from chinese palaces would be my garment,
with buds from Kalamata and hashish from Turkey,
oh, and dont forget the instruments playing at their max....

So all the sinners in the world would know what they're losing..

(Syntax from Greek to English is completely different,i did my best but if u watch the video you'll get to it)

Grimes, and Youth Lagoon (but that was a couple of months ago) and Masada (I've known who they are, because of John Zorn, but never listened to them).

^ in a perfect world she would read me bedtime stories every night.

recentlym like just 2 hours ago, discovered "Main Attrakionz" hyperbole ensues "Chances are you've read/heard their sound lumped in with the "Cloud Rap" #tag by now, which is all well and good: they sit comfortably amidst the airy beats of Clams Casino, the kush fumes of A$AP Rocky, and the Based One's subterranean spiritualism. But their world is still in creation and far from locked down; as open as the cyber-space which catalysed and enabled their unconventional aesthetic to spread unhindered."

u could chart the rise in availability of potent marijuana along with the rise of left field rap: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UoKjrfi-s30

Wow... this is the first I've heard of Grimes. Checked out her video for "Vanessa" and I think I already love her. Like... everything about her!

omggggggg guys

i've never heard her early early (aka 20 year old stuff) stuff, but i got an early release of VISIONS last week and I've listened to nothing but that since then. my favourite song is "VISITING A STATUE."

looked up grimes that bobbed hair cut look is cute, her music is like enya on steroids.

at first i thought i was going to be able to troll your youtube account...and then i figured you just stole someone elses youtube comments, which is like, super lame.

the way i've been getting new music lately is by listening to fanmixes. for everyone. don't even care if it's a ship i don't support, or characters i don't like, if it's got a good graphic and a download link i'm there. this bellatrix lestrange one is hitting the spot for me lately. lots of good gritty dark shit on it, especially TENKAH and Milanese and that great Nouvelle Vague cover of Killing Joke's Psyche.

Electronic Rock - Yppah

Not sure if there already isn't thread about this and whether it belongs here, but I'd say so as it is more rock than electronic.
Anyway, yesterday I fell in love with this music while on APB yay.

2 best songs imo:
Gumball Machine Weekend - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cmQXuWOZP8w&ob=av2e
Sun Flower Sun Kissed - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCygAicgyUw

Would be nice if anybody knows something similar. I also like psychedelic rock but there's a thread about it for sure.
