What great band have you just discovered?

I forget but I think towards the end of this year. Maybe October or something if my memory is serving me correctly.
 
Das Racist: it's fun to do bad things, like rhyme about hand guns

Since Das Racist is more of an electronic/rap fusion now than it used to be when they first started making music, I figured I would put this here!

Anyone else listen to Das Racist at all? I'm a pretty big fan of their newer stuff (especially Shut Up, Dude).

Try listening to their songs, "Rainbow in the Dark" and "Shut Up, Dude". What I love about das racist is they don't take themselves seriously (like every other rapper in the entire world does?? LOL). I think it's the electro influence and the "devil may care" attitude that makes them just not give fucks. If this is in the wrong forum, please move, but I think it fits more in the EMD than NEMD because of how heavily its influence by electronic music.

What do you mean by this? I have one of their two mixtapes from last year, and every track is produced by someone else. Do they produce their own beats now? I'd just say they're a rap group that opt for producers that are popular in the indie-dance-pop scene (for instance; Chairlift, Teengirl Fantasy and Diplo each produce a beat on Sit Down, Man). It's still hip hop.

I like what I've heard from them. They can be kinda funny. And chitown rollin, I'd put their rapping style closer to DOOM than Ludacris. In the way they use non-sequitors and the odd nerdy references.
