I think bongs get me super blazed for an hour or so then I go back to baseline.....with pipes though I get a nice consistent high longer than a bong.
alot of people in this thread have said that water filters smoke. this has never made any sense to me. does the smoke actually pass through the water the same way smoke would pass through, say, a paper towel? it always seemed like the smoke went around the water, not through it.
anyone? this has been bugging me for years as i have never had a concrete answer
A pipe is more efficient, but bongs get me wrecked. Although more THC makes it from bowl to lungs though a pipe, smoking through a bong allows you to inhale more smoke at once, which gets you higher faster. In general, a good bong will do the job quicker, but smoking a pipe is a lot easier on the stash.
Personally, I don't think that bongs significantly reduce the THC in the smoke, but remove ash and solid particulate and cool the smoke. Sure, some THC ends up in the water, but since THC isn't particularly soluable in water I doubt it is very much. You might have some problems if you tried to filter though vegetable oil, though. Any loss of THC is totally made up for, in my mind, by how much easier on my lungs a bong is.
The study results are obviously discomforting to waterpipe enthusiasts, many of whom prefer the cooler, milder smoke they produce, and have naturally assumed it is also more healthful. Unfortunately, however, the study indicates that waterpipes may actually be counterproductive in increasing consumption of carcinogenic tars.
Bong....uses far less weed.
gets you far higher on a lesser amount.
