IME a lot of druggies don't drink, because they find alcohol boring, etc. I'm inclined to agree, though I definitely like drinking two or three beers with friends, I just don't like getting really drunk because it . . . sucks. So many better highs out there.

My favorite form of alcohol is beer, hands down. Call me a pussy but hard liquor tastes like shit.

Sometimes it's alright to calm some nerves but I generally hate it cause the spins, and the spins leading to puke. When I'm tripping and get spinning like effects it never leads to puke.

I really enjoy a few glasses of wine or beer every other day or so(usually with dinner)...... but if I go beyond that it really brings out my addictive nature.......

im not a fan of alcohol, when im drunk i feel sloppy and not in control and i dont like that
ill have a beer every now and again but thats it
alcoholism is big in my family so once i start i dont stop, i try to stay away from it

I use to be addicted to it because it can calm your nerves quite well. But then I started getting the spins everytime I drank, and it's just not worth it. I use benzos now, (sparingly). As well as the green.

I now only have a drink if I'm out, but never to get drunk drunk, because I'll always get the spins.

I love alcohol as much as I love many other drugs, each offers its own appeal.

aaaand when you use them all, it helps prevent tolerence and addiction to any one substance. :D

Alcohol is wonderful!

...in moderation, at least. Having the spins is the worst. You don't even get a nice euphoria to go along with yer pukin'.

after I got to methadone I quit drinking... beforehands I tried to get my endorphines run with it. I only got very drunk...

As far as drugs go it offers nice euphoria but its positive effects are minimal compared to its many negative side effects, its legality and social acceptance leads to widespread substance abuse that is overlooked, and the Belgian monks make a damn fine beer that goes nice with a sandwich.

Ya I have kind of "lost the magic" with alcohol. I can get so drunk that I wake up drunk the next morning drunk but the night before I am not stumbling, laughing or anything really. It just makes me stay up ridiculously late doing really stupid stuff like play flash games on my computer.

I never got euphoria from alcohol. :\

It passes time, looses inhibitions, and it's a social tradition. Oh, and it's legal and available everywhere. That's basically why I use it.

Well....considering that it's a national thing over here(everybodie drinks...a lot) and the fact that i've been drinking since i was 10(first time i got drunk was when i was 8 at a wedding) i enjoy it once in a while...but not a big fan of it.Here it's a social thing,my parents drink,my famili drinks,my friends,neighbours,everyone...the person who gave me my first votca was my mom,and well, you kinda ger\t stuck witha beer every so often...
I use to drink a lot a few years back, almost daily, but now it's not so appealing to me...the bad effects overcome the good ones, and the puking and the headeache next day make it verry undesirable...

I use to drink a fair bit, your practically brought up on alcohol over here lol. Helps when the legal drinking age is 18..

But after many nights where i was just getting plastered and feeling like shit the next day (I would drink spirits like it was water), the positives certainly didn't account for the many negatives it gave. I kind of stopped almost all together after discovering MDMA and its wonderful effects.

I still enjoy a few beers with friends.. and a few home mixed bourbon and coke =) But nothing thats gonna get me drunk and left with a hangover.. i'm over those days.

well if you guys have ever been to sonic or even if not go there an order a cream slush with no flavor, take that and a bottle of hypnotic, pour in rnough to your liking, mix it up and drink. its awesome. you can substitue any alcohol but i just like hypnotic alot

i'd take alcohol over heroin;

i love the way beer kicks you [i.e. me] up a notch no matter how down or tired you may be...

i love the way your mind turns inward as the warmth creeps into your fingers and toes from a good liquor.

i love the way champagne sounds when it's fizzing; such a cacophony of sweet sound, and the happy feeling that spreads from the very centre of your brain as it takes hold of your senses...

i love the way wine makes me feel blissfully like some kind of tragic, romantic figure out of a hemingway novel...

i love the way absinthe makes the city lights at night seem both bright and dull like the magic of some expressionist painting...

i just plain love the feeling of walking into a liquor store and feeling like i'm the last man alive with all the treasure of earth laid in front of me. i just plain love alcohol :)
