what drugs do you wish were never created?

Yup. I don't wish weed wasn't created...but I wish that the way people use it was different. I'm all for blazin with a couple buddies every now and then but like NP said there are people who do it cuz they're bored and to me, and apparently I'm not the only one, that's just dumb..

Also not a big fan of opiates for some personal reasons

sometimes I think crystal meth, for my own sake more than anything...only looking back on the shit I got myself into because of it.
but it's neither here nor there.

and weed, for the family problems it created with my mother. stupid shit. :\

I adore that Robin Williams stand-up. Just wanted to point that out X) If I recall, it was in reference to cocaine, but it applies oh-so-well to tobacco. I have thankfully been able to stay a light smoker (and let's hope it stays that way), but a lot of my friends and family have not been quite so lucky. Once it takes hold, it's a fucking hard habit to kick.
 
MPTP, of course, and MPPP as well, since it was responsible for MPTP. 4-MTA and PMA, for obvious reasons. The phenylpiperazines, because they're terrible. No other ideas right now.

Also, fun fact: the first guy to suggest that tobacco was the Indians' revenge on white people was Adolf Hitler. Look it up!
 
Pipes, Meth and Tobacco top the list for me. As an ex-H addict, I'm inclined to include Opiates, but i feel there are genuine applications of this (for pain relief) and a lot of Opiate use comes down to self-control. But seriously, also as a clinical insomniac, Meth is sooo not worth the come-down.
 
i honestly can say: meth. and that's probably the only drug i wish was never created. NOTHING good comes from using meth. nothing. its a dark, evil, fuckup of a drug imo.
 
Fuck Tylenol, fuck Ibuprofen, fuck Darvocet, replace them all with Ketorolac, better NSAID and less problems, seriously. Or just get opiates and be high, they should make Ketorolac/Hydrocodone fuck APAP. Piperazines are toxic as well, fuck it and whatever that is chicken yellow or whatever it is that causes your brain to die. SSRIS, Strattera fuck you too, long ass taking, expensive shitty drugs.
 
I was inclined to say all drugs should exist, but I'm gonna go with nicotine. I literally cannot think of a single positive attribute of tobacco.

Alcohol's pretty shitty, as well...and perhaps if it didn't exist, weed would take its place in our culture. =D
 
Cigarettes aren't really that bad. I know they kill a lot of people but it takes decades of heavy smoking to die from them.
What's wrong with enjoying them for a certain amount time, like let's say 10 years, and then quitting for good?
If you smoke a pack a day for a decade and then quit, your lungs will eventually heal and your risk of getting cancer won't be greater than someone who was a lifetime non smoker.
And is stopping really that hard? I find nicotine withdrawal not that bad and doesn't even last that long. The only hard part about stopping is that they're everywhere.
 
I am the most familiar with opiates and amphetamines, and I know that a lot of bluelighters will probably disagree with me, but uh...

I would have to say that I wish amphetamines were never created. It's true that nothing beats that careless, care-free, dreamy opiate experience, and I can see where a lot of people would have trouble with that. For me, nothing beats that superhuman motivation, determination, and confidence that amphetamines evoke... I want that feeling all of the time and always. I don't want to sleep, eat, or do anything else. I want to write books, watch movies, direct a movie, become president... It's a sick, sick thing... amphetamines, man. My God.
