What drug subcultures do you think are happiest?

Based on my own experience, I would say stoners are probably the happiest. It was the first phase of my drug use, and the only one that I can look back on light heartedly, yet the memories are overwhelmingly embarrassing as well.

Knowing addicts are probably the most depressed in an overall term ime

where is the no-brain part in being stoned on ganja? you might be physically lazy/couch locked but my brain is running in over drive!
the paranoia comes from thinking too much not not thinking at all!

ganja makes me think way more than usual and it broadens my perspective...talk about no-brain thoughts talk about alcohol and smack ime
 
I was a "no brainer" stoner. Id be the one staring you in the face as you talk to me and id come to and say "wait... What?..." with a blank stoned look on my face.

haha me too. and stoners would definitely be the happiest, also psychonauts, but you rarely hear of someone making a lifestyle out of psychedelics. Stoners can smoke everyday, but i dont think ive heard of someone using shrooms for more than maybe a few days straight
 
Most i tripped was i think 15 times in a month. Give or take a couple days. It was like: trip a week, take a week off, trip a week, take another week off. Out of my year of heavy psychedellic usage, i tripped about a quarter of a year. I really loved LSD
 
Stoners and psychonaughts.

Though I've found with psyconaughts its more psychonaughts who have previously used, as opposed to still using. They always seem content and joyus about most situations. So do psychonaughts who are presently using, but less compared to previous pyschadellic use.

Stoners are self-explanatory
 
yeah the hippies and newborn rastas are the happiest for sure. The least happiest subculture is the hard core cocaine users, even more so than heroin.

Yeah this is what I was talking about. I don't know where my brain goes when I'm stoned but it's nowhere near, that's for sure.

Haha, chill man, no need to get defensive about it. I was talking about my own experiences and experiences of friends. Everyone's is different. I suppose there is someone who can come up with something productive and smart when stoned.
 
responsible ketamine users hands down (it has that wonderful anti-depressant effect!), aka no daily use, unless threshold quantities, no gram + day habits, etc.

I 100% disagree. I'm not gonna use my self as an example, but I know plenty of folks who are very successful and do drugs with some regularity. They don't fall in line with those stoners who smoke all day every day, or pretty much anyone chasing a high every single day, but I do know plenty of people who have very happy successful lives who use some drugs with some regularity.

I have to respectfully disagree, based on the empirical evidence of my close friends who are successful, happy, frequent drugs users (primarily marijuana). I feel like I have known them for long enough (10+ years) to accurately assess their "happiness."

What is your sample size and is it not biased? You are making a vast generalization. While it may be mostly correct, the fact that it isn't 100% correct means that it is wrong.

well a psychedelic lifestyle doesn't mean taking acid all the time, most "trippers" are just stoners who also use lots of different psychedelics, maybe once a month or once a week on average.
 
pot heads andactual psych users, not ppl that take them to trip ballz yo! but i mean the people that see the spiritual aspect of it and use it more of a tool of self enlightenment rather than a recreational substance.

saddest drug subculture? heroin addicts.
 
yeah another vote for stoners here, hippies aswell but they tend to also be big smokers themselves so kind of go together.
In the short term MDMA users, hard to be happier than when your walking around with a huge grin on your face. That's until the next day comes of course though :p
Saddest probably heroin addicts, or meth or hardcore cocaine addicts. But tbh addicts to anything tend to be pretty down so unhappy. No one wants to be an addict!
