Just wondering how folks body weight has been impacted on various drugs. Be it the drug itself or the lifestyle surrounding the drug. And the experience of the weight gain or loss. How the weight change itself impacted you.

I have a oxy habit, and have had one for quite sometime!!!:| Before i started doing oxy everyday, i weighed alittle under 200LBS, which for my height is overweight.. When i started my habit over the course of about 2 months i had lost about 20 LBS or so... Which is very odd for me, cause i am the type of person where my weight normally only changes by like 5 lbs at the most.

So yeah opiates caused it for me. I like not weighing as much, but i dont like how it came to be!!!:p

Phrase SJH

Amps, alcohol, psychs (that order). I've had eating disorders off and on pretty much since puberty (hence the amps and alcohol). Then I got MDMA for the first time and learned to love myself, no matter what. Once I got into that good place mentally, all of the sudden psychedelics just started appearing in my life all the time- they helped the realignment of my mind that the MDMA started. Out of nowhere I developed eating habits that were truly good for me- and I've dropped more weight than ever before.

amphetamines (pharmies mostly but also meth)

I'm 6'2", 190lbs at baseline

I was 155 by the end of my 1yr speed binge.

cocaine made me go from 170 to 120 in about 4 months flat. i liked it though because it was the first time i was able to see my hipbones.

opiates made me go from 180 to 132 at my lowest point. Im cruisin around 150 right now.

Lyrica made me gain quite a bit of weight. I'm currently working out at the YMCA while I nurse my oxy habit. I guess if what people have said so far is true...in a couple months I should look like Chuck Norris.

Have to agree with burnout.. No drug ive used has really changed my weight considerably, but i would imagine amphetamines of course would if i did them daily.

Kratom abuse made my weight to drop quite significantly. It was during a period of stress though, and I didn't have the time to eat properly during the days. When I say properly, that doesn't mean I was eating fast/junk food, but stuff like carrots and fruits that I had in my shoulder bag. I was hiding my abuse from my surroundings, and I "blamed" my very obvious weight loss on the stress, the diet above and generally cutting out unhealthy food. My appetite was very suppressed by the kratom though, and that surely was the main reason for me losing all that weight.

After breaking the kratom habit I slowly began to gain some weight again. However, six months after quitting kratom, I began abusing tramadol, an episode lasting for about two years. Tramadol also suppressed my appetite and I was soon back to my "kratom weight". I ceased my use tramadol completely about ten days ago, and I estimate my appetite has tripled in the last few days. I already gained some weight surprisingly.

I should add that my diet is what many people would describe as “insanely healthy”, and my BMI is normal, but tipping towards the lower side of the scale. From an American perspective I guess I would be very thin, but coming from a lot less obese country, I’m considered quite slender but not unhealthy so.

I was thinnest when I was in my deepest phase of Heroin use phase (read: junkie), just cause you really don't care about anything else. Also, my cocaine use was highest at that point as well, sometimes shot up alone; but mainly for speedball use. I'm sure that didn't help either 8).

The drug that made me gain the most weight by far, was the anti-depressant mirtazapine (Remeron). ~35 lbs in a month, what the fuck!? After cessation they dropped rapidly, thank god. :|

Heroin made me go from 255 lbs to 230 lbs in about 4 months. I didn't even notice it, but within the span of 2 weeks I had like 8 people comment that I looked like I had lost weight.

THANKS HEROIN! =D
