If you're referring to dihydrocodeine, then as an active heroin addict, I have to wholeheartedly disagree; whilst I will admit this stuff is useless recreationally, it is a fucking god-send as a legal, OTC way of avoiding being sick on days you can't cop.. It's unbelievable (IMO) how well this staff can hold off the WDs.. I mean sure, it's no methadone or suboxone, but it is miles ahead of regular codein, when it comes to this context.

Not to mentiom the amount of antihistamine required to ingest in order to achieve a recreational dose of codeine... Never heard of rappers praising DHC tough, but by all means your entitled to your opinions .

I'm in Australia and here the cough syrup that you can drink lots of that has codeine, has DHC rather than the regular stuff.. I though it was the same stuff that the 'muricans bang on about 'sizrup' or w/e. Here it's not laced with an antihistamine, but rather an artificial sweetener / laxative. The laxative effect is kind blocked by the DHC, especially if you're a regular opiate addict, but it still feels pretty nasty on the guts and some people still report sever diarrhoea.
