Opioids what dose you think I'll get?

so tomorrow I'm going in for my 4th time on 2nd round of chemo (leukemia).

anywayz, the doc called me up today to see how I was feeling. I, currently having used up 100# 5mg oxycodones in 4 days, told the doc that I'm having bad stomach cramps and that I think it could be the oxycodone, could we please try something else. well, the doc told me yes, we could try an instant relase morphine for a few days since I go every other day. what mg do you think they'd give me since I've been getting 5mg of oxycodone every 4 hours? and are there any IR generics that gel? I'm hoping they don't so I can get a few good uses out of morphine in pill form.

ir generic morphine comes in 15mg and 30mg and are cheap as hell i get 400 of the 30mg ones and w/o insurance there like 150 bucks i dont think they gel up but generaly speaking there weaker then oxy due to only having like a 30% b/a i would expect you to get the 15's

also i dont think you will like oral morphine compared to oxy i find it takes 3-4 times the oxy dose in morphine ie 5mg oxy would be like 20mg morph

well, I got some free insurance here in Arizona called Health Choice. it seems to cover all my meds, including my valium, but not the oxy. I'm wondering if morphine, since being cheaper, would be covered. either way, they're only giving me like a 2 day script of it to try.

yes, I know it takes much more oral morphine to get the same analgesic effect as oxycodone. I plan on using these IR morphine tabs via IV. which is why I was wondering if there are any generic IR's that gel. I'm hoping I don't get that brand.

I get my scripts filled at walgreens, I know not all walgreens are the same, so what brands does yours carry in your area? if you're around my area, what brands does the walgreens carry?

well, according to pharmer, the lowest dose is 15mg. so yeah, I'm sure thats what I'll get. a 30mg shot of that should be good.

now I just gotta find out which brand walgreens has, which I could call, but I'll probably just wait until its filled.

well i dont think they make name brand morphine ir all i can get is generic but i dont think they gel from what i have heard there the best to iv though i have never done it

and if your gunna iv on a regular basis please get a micron filter cotten filtering is fine for once or twice but microns are the best from what i hear

Please read up on micron filtering if you intend on injecting pills.
