Also applies to "Smackie" and "Smackey".

I see that adjective alot and I'd love to know what it means.

Thanks!

My understanding is that it is a colloquial misnomer... where MDMA is described as having smack-like qualities ("smack" being a slang name for heroin).

It's use is generally discouraged considering the long-held urban myth that MDMA pills contain heroin, and the fact that the majority of people using the term have probably never used heroin in the first place... so really have no frame of reference to make such a claim.

Also, there's an inconsistency in how people use the term. Strong MDMA in large amounts can often produce a paradoxical lethargy, where the user is forced to sit down and not move, nor have any real expendable energy.... which could be described as having the characteristic of heroin use. But MDMA will also produce a content-ness, a warm and relaxed state of body and mind, which could also be characteristic of smack use. And then there's people who use the term interchangably with the term "mongy" - another nondescript adjective.

Like I said... a misnomer, and one that doesn't really give any specific detail for anyone reading the report.

^ Couldn't have said it better myself, Tambo :)

The amount of times i've heard people use the term "cokey" and "smacky" to describe MDMA is frustrating, as it only serves to perpetuate the myths that pills may contain either cocaine or heroin.

Using these terms is highly discouraged. :)

it probably means the pills have a high MDMA content.

it's commonly used by people who have only ever had meth (speed) in their pills. ;)

(and it sure as hell doesn't mean they contain heroin... so please discourage people from using the term :!)
