What does heroin feel like?

Then you have obviously never had good heroin or did enough.

Obviously there's a reason why people are dying left and right from heroin. It's stronger and cheaper than any other opiate and that's a fact

I dunno, man, heroin has something special that makes it much more desirable than oxy or morphine. I'd personally rather have heroin than any other drug, period.
 
Shooting heroin is a lot better than shooting any other opiate, especially oxy.

I think people ascribe a certain magic to heroin because it's the most commonly IV'd opioid which obviously gives a skewed perspective of it. Oral heroin is probably no better than oral hydrocodone.

There seems to be a general consensus that hydromorphone is the best opiate to IV, at least as far as a rush goes. I've only had it done once while sick (some stomach illness not dopesick) in the hospital and it was quite amazing, but I don't have enough experience to form an opinion. I've never shot oxymorphone either, which is also supposedly very good when IVed. I've shot heroin a lot, and I've shot oxy a few times. Didn't notice too much of a difference between shooting and snorting oxy, but there is a big difference between shooting and snorting with heroin.
 
^ Ok, shooting heroin is better than any other opiate that I've used, and is relatively easily available on the street.

Heroin feels divine, like the works of a narcissistic god. It's a taste of false serenity and bliss, but truly it's a yard with grass full of snakes. Diacetylmorphine's true , unforgettable rush and nod is really only truly experienced via IV ROA IME/O, I think many other expirienced users of dope would tell you the same thing; actually, I can guarantee that one. So... you register the vein, seeing the blood fill up the syringe is an art and rush of it's own (how many, like myself, develop a needle fetish). You push down the plunger, maybe pulling back a few times to assure you're still registered in the vein, if possible it's better to untie whatever is being used as the tourniquet before injecting the dope. Idk why exactly it's better for your veins, but I do know the rush hits you quicker and stronger IMO. I let the rig kinda hang lightly and carefully in the vein until the tie-off-tool is off so the dope doesn't squirt out because of the pressure (it's happened to me before, and if you lick the blood you can certainly taste the heroin... it's kinda a bummer). I wait the ~30 seconds until the warm glow radiates throughout my body and reaches my head, providing me with a light-headed rush of PURE FUCKING BLISS; it's INTENSE, yet intense in a sedative sense. All worries, depression, anxiety, and WDs or psychical aches and pains are completely relieved at an unbelievable rate. It feels as though the weight of the world has been lifted off your shoulders and angels are sent down from the heavens to massage your mind and body for hours.

It's all fun and games being the weekend warrior, until you realize you couldn't get the thought of shooting dope out of your mind if your life depended on it. Then the true identity of diacetylmorphine rears it's ugly head and reveals itself with the worst withdrawals I never thought were possible to feel. Endless, painful RLS, constant panic, cravings, shivering in cold, toxin-filled sweat and goosebumps and then hot flashes that make one nauseous, insomnia that makes an agnostic, grown man want to cry while curled up in the fetal position, constant liquid shits (sometimes you can't even control your bowels; while attending college I shit my pants dopesick at school and had to go home and choke down loperamide), overwhelming feelings of hopeless regret and remorse for the fucked up things you've done to the people you love just to get well or get the "fix". One helluva TEMPORARY fucking "Fix" I'd say.

I'm not sure if Id take it back though, it's ruined my life, but also stopped me from ending my life in a deep depression. If you can get your fix every blue moon then I respect that majorly! I wish I could be a chipper. I don't know how to live my life without the needle and shooting up heroin and now, quite a bit of raw cocaine, speedballs included. I believe chipping is possible, I know plenty of chippers personally. I just wish I could be one. I'm not homeless or filthy, I like designer, streetwear (Supreme, Obey, Only, Huf, Urban Outfitters, ect), Ralph Lauren, Lacoste, Armani Exchange AKA nice, nice clothes, but I am a junkie at heart and I fucking hate it. I miss the old me, before the dope.

No i think that is probably the reason heh.
I've water lined tar , smoked it, and plugged it. It feels amazing , don't get me wrong but i would rather have clean pharm oxy. Black tar gives me some nasty coughs, and sinus infections.

I knew I had heard that before! Good mini-doc.
Imagine any city in the US providing a safe, clean place to shoot up with brand new syringes, cookers, etc. A place where you can be watched and they can make sure you don't OD. The horror of it. Actually providing a safe place to use DRUGS. :| This country's got it so backwards. Eh.

I always liked the warm, enveloping blanket analogy. From the moment you register and then start pushing down that plunger, the warmth starts to spread through your body, down your spine, out into your limbs and up into your head. Everything melts away and things are just..... Good. Really fucking good. Itchy, Skratchy, tingly, numbly, good.
Sitting, standing, lying there, it feels like you're wrapped in warmth and safety. Everything will be OK. This addiction, the fact you have no cash, your family and friends don't trust you, etc, etc. It doesn't matter. Everything will be OK.
Like a warm, soft blanket. Or being held in your mother's arms. In the most intense of highs(when conscious) it can almost feel like you're back in a embryonic state. If something like that can actually be identified. Nothing can touch or hurt you.

I don't wanna get into how built tolerance and withdrawal affects things. People have already covered how bad it gets. Heroin can be your best friend. Better than the best friend imaginable. But it turns on you. Obviously.

I don't IV, but I imagine this is the case because heroin crosses the blood-brain barrier more readily compared to other opioids.
 
^ I think that's the general consensus in the medical community. Plus the rush is good, the rush from oxy is basically non-existent but I still shoot it anyway because I always want my relief NOW. Anyone who says they'd prefer oxy to heroin is wise.
 
When i snorted heroin for the first time i felt like... "this is how drugs should feel"... I felt very comfortable with everything around me, even that i was puking my guts all the time and was itching. It was very euphoric and interesting. It had almost no side affects when coming down and the total experience of that night felt like a trip or something. Few days later i still remembered it as a good experience and had a some craving for some more of it.
I did it once again 3 years later and it was excactly the same like the first time, including the cravings.
Statistics say that 25% percent of those who try it will become addicts later, and since it's illegal in most places this addiction will totally ruin your life forever and that's it.

I've gotten some pretty crazy rushes from 80's. I know what you mean, though. I had a lot of IV Oxy user friends that felt the same way. Oxy rush<Dope.
Still, I would take bags over real 80's any day. More a matter of preference/what you're used to than anything. IMO.
Someone mentioned that the Hydromorphone rush is better than dopes. I would have to agree. I'd just, again, never choose Dillies over dope. Mainly because they don't have near the legs that good dope has.

Anyways heroin feels like absolute bliss when you start doing it. However, when you become addicted it also makes you feel like absolute shit. Yes, for awhile getting high on dope will feel great... but then it becomes more like a chore and those few hours of euphoria don't even seem worth it anymore. Yet, you can't stop. You can, but what's the point? (Just the thoughts I had before and what not... luckily stopped. Pretty sure more people can relate).

Agreed. I found OG Oxy far superior to H. In fact, I only made the switch from Oxy to H due to the disparity in price. $100 worth of Oxy to stay well for a day, $50 of Heroin to be high for the day. But I can definitely tell the difference, and I've shot both. Oddly enough I've never got a rush from IV H, and yes I did it properly. My favorite method for ingesting Oxy was to suck off the time-coating and then chew up the pill and swallow it. It didn't hit as fast as sniffing or IVing, but the duration more than made up for that IMO, plus the placebo effect of just putting the pill in my mouth was enough to stop some of my WDs.

All opiates are different, but for the most part they all take you to the same place...

While all the big players in the class (H, Oxy, Fentanyl, Methadone) cause similar effects, they all have their own unique flavor.

Oxy felt clean, stimulating and, of course, relaxing as all hell. It boost my confidence like Crystal Meth did, and oh man, the euphoria.

H by far had the best nod though....

Hydrocodone is amazing when you're a rookie, and feels very much like Heroin

Hydromorphone was meh, but I didn't shoot it up, which to my knowledge is the only way to use it.

Morphine was meh also, but again, I didn't get to shoot it.

Fentanyl... that shit scares me. I almost ODed on that, which isn't cool (it was sold to me as "Canadian OC", same mold as an OC 40, no time coating, green the whole way through with an OC and an 80 stamped on each side, respectively. If I hadn't shared the pill (which was the last thing I wanted to do at the time), I'm sure I would have died. Plus the duration of this drug isn't very long. Too powerful, doesn't last long enough.

Methadone was my favorite. No rush, obviously, but one dose a day was all it took to feel great for 24 hours. I'd take it and feel better instantly, 2 hours later I was nodding, 2 hours after that I had a warm glow to last me the rest of the day.

A high dose of Opiates is like being held by Jesus and having him say, "It's all going to be okay now, I've got you, you're safe."

Yea, Pretty much comes down to IV use. Although heroin snorted is still way more effective than oxy, similar feeling but heroin lasts like 2-5x longer ime.
 
^ When I first began using Oxy 20mg would keep me high for 12 hours. By the time I got dependent 80mg of Oxy would get me well for 8-10 hours (not high, but well) and 160mg would keep me high for at least 5 hours, well the whole day. Then again, I was eating them, the way they were meant to be taken, so they lasted quite long. As for H, I don't ever remember being high from a sesh longer than 5 hours, and it never kept me well longer than 8.

odd, even when I wasn't addicted, oxycodone IR taken orally only lasted about 2-3 hours, whereas snorted heroin still gets me high for around 4 hours, longer if I shoot it.
 
^I have the same experience, oxy has no legs at all. It's a 3 hour high for me then I'm sober, dissappointed and a left with a feeling I wasted my money and should just have gotten heroin instead. Oxycodone is also too "speedy" for my taste, if that makes sense.
