What do you think the world will be like in 100 years?

I think..
- the average life expectancy will be over 100
- nudity and sex will be commonplace on TV - life full on porn-scenes will be in primetime tv shows (it's already getting there)
- everything will probably be purchased on credit cards - cash probably won't exist (?, maybe)
- the internet will probably be censored, somehow
- we'll be over-populated

Or
- we'll all be dead from global warming.

Somehow I just can't see the world as it is now in 100 years. If things stayed roughly the same that would be mega depressing LOL

Did you just arbitrarily choose a length of time? Because 100 years is not much time when you consider how long the earth has existed(~4+ billion years) :\
I guess I just meant "in the future", but that could be taken to mean millions of years or anything and I was more just thinking what are some of the next interesting changes the world might see.

d9, it's plenty long when you consider social change. i don't think op is interested in continental drift, changes in mountain ranges or the status of the earth's poles.

of those points in the first post, all but the average lifespan already is in effect (in ways).

I really don't think it's all that long. Sure, 100 years ago the world was hugely different (ww1 and whatnot). But again, I'm forced to bring up the fact that even if we're only talking about since modern humans have existed(which the OP never specifically said btw), 100 years is still only a small percentage. Modern humans have existed for what, 150,000-200,000 years?

i don't think op is interested in continental drift, changes in mountain ranges or the status of the earth's poles.
Well that's unfortunate because I sure am.

weed is going to be decriminalized at the very least

ill bet my left nut on that

We will have become utterly enslaved to the system which has taken over from our former provider mother nature. That power will be concentrated in the hands of a very few people.
I don't imagine they'd see us as equals.
