what do you find more recreational, soma or lyrica?

I was going to post a similar thread about pregabalin vs gabapentin

Judging by the information I've read, pregabalin seems to be the better of the two, correct if I'm wrong.

pregabalin is almost indistinguishable. It is more recreational though, if only because you seem to be able to use it more without it losing effect.

For me soma has no abuse potential.

Lyrica on the other hand does. I find it gives me a pleasant, opiate like high.

QFT...that's just my opinion...

Dosages: 750mg of soma (i feel alright, really sesnual)

3g+ of lyrica *ya I have a huge tolerance...makes me really talkative and typative( is that a word?) anyways i took my dose about 3 hours ago so i'm feeling pretty good.

This is just IMO. If you don't agree, please don't flame me. Just shake your head and go on to the next meaningless thread.

I'm actually supposed to be taking lyrica for pain but 1 pill doesn't even seem to have any effect at all so I stopped. I have a pretty high opiate tol from taking viks for the last 7 months straight. The lyrica I have is a 75mg pill how many would you guess I could take to get some relaxation?

Soma definately has more potential for recreational use but I don't really enjoy it's almost overly-sedating effects...Soma also impairs your motor skills to a point where it's scary....even with tolerance...

Everytime I've taken Soma, I feel lethargic the day after...it's better than Lyrica but both are pretty shitty drugs......I forget how many mgs I used to take but it was like 5-10 pills to reach any type of buzz....

I'd say Soma. But, i can only take it at night because it really sedates me and sometimes i do stupid things on it, like spill my cereal or drink, and sometimes I'll fall over LOL. But that's because i tend to take 4 pills to feel anything. But, after what happened to me last time on Soma - I fell and almost brokemy neck, i stopped taking 4 at a time, 3 is usually safe for me.

But, yea Soma is more my choice on this question.

During the last 7 months the docs also had me on soma...I was a total zombie and looking back it really wish I didn't take them everyday but when your in pain you do thing you might not normally do. heh I think I was up to 140 somas a month. Heres a funny thing too. When I went to the ER the doc there told me somas are a "dirty" drug and that they shoulda died off with the 70s...

^ that's not horrible. I managed to blow through 300 in a month and a half, and I was definitely not taking them for pain ;)

I was worried as hell that I'd have a physical dependence at the end, but I didn't. Thank god.

Did you have any problems with that?

Smart doctor...I just don't see how a pill that requires taking multiple doses of to achieve sedation is still used in practice for pain...if anything, it should be used for sleep and/or anxiety.....

I don't know anyone who has taken or takes Soma on a regular basis who doesn't eat at least 5 of them at a time for effects....I know people who have eaten them in the double-digits everyday and still complain...give the patient a fucking opiate..jesus...

lol high? i get sample bottles of lyrica free. it's ok for sedation and sleep, but i don't see where the recreational value would be.

so it's a pain killer? all i notice is a slight floaty feeling and being dizzy when i pop 200-250mg at a time. i also notice i can't get a hard-on and can't pee for several hours after taking it.

i guess i have a natural tolerance to analgesics. soma, robaxin etc muscle relaxers and mild opiates do almost nothing for me.

give me 100mg morphine and i'll be good to go. luckily i have zero opiate tolerance because i'd probably never be satisfied with the high of any of them after a week or two. oh well
