What do you fellow PD readers do when you trip?

I mostly trip at home, lounging around listening to music. I might play some guitar if I feel like it and towards the end get more interested in socialising with others or just watching some tv/film.

I also obsess over the number 4444.

I think we share some of the same thoughts, at least with regards to tripping habits and numerical obsessions :) I once had a trip that I entirely planned out according to some vague numeric principle related to the number 4. I took 16mg (4x4=16) of 4-AcO-DMT on the 16th of April in 2008. April of course being the fourth month of the year, and the 2 and 8 in 2008 of course hinting towards 2/8=4! You get the idea..

The trip was pretty much my way of facing my own obsessive psychology, I ended up meeting a special entity that helped me do this, it worked out well in the end. It got me to see my habits and my life in general as a kind of cosmic comedy that I can play out my role in, instead of just being swept up in it.

To awnser the question in the OP, it really doesn't matter what you do while tripping. As long as you stay in the moment and get the most out of your stay you can find the transcendence in almost anything... In nature, as well as from looking at buildings, hell I've even had some pretty incredible trips to the bathroom! Just relax, go with the flow, float downstream and you'll get where you need to go.

Many different things depending on substance, mood, solo or group, and reason for trip. Everything from sitting by a campfire in woods, to at a great concert, to hanging out with a group of friends/party, sitting alone in the dark listening to music, watching movies (don't always get all the way through before wanting to move on), I used to smoke a lot of cigs but dropped that habit, smoke marijuana, converse with close friends, the list goes on and on.

I've also done it for random things that I don't neccesarily recommend for everyone such as, long car ride, while still backpacking up steep mountain (better saved for mountain top and campsite), went and illegally picked grapes onetime at a small vineyard actually in a downtown city.

Often like doing phsycial stuff like walking around the forest, looking at the sky with my mates and checking the visuals out. But I would read something fantasy like, things to do with spirituality, trip reports, psychedelic literature, sports and pychedelics posters which isnt reading I guess, just eye candy...actally while its not reading letters and words, its reading the story you interpret behind that piece of art so it is kind of reading.

But I findit hard to sit in one place while tripping, I have to be phsical.

What are some good psychs to read on and what is some god psychedelic literature, I have a feeling reading on the comedown would kinda keep your mind going even though the visuals have all but disappeared. Im thinking about buying some william burrough's books, they sound awesome. I think DOC would be the perfect psych to reason coz theres enough time to do hepas of different activities.

So any idea of some books or better psych to read on...I dont think i could do it on LSD, theres too many interesting things going on...Good thread btw :)

Mostly mod BL and masturbate maniacally. Not always at the same time though. Occasionally other stuff, but mostly modding and jostling. Like to paint sometimes and do other mildly creative stuff... mostly end up modding and masturbating though.

Absolutely nothing.

IMO when you take a decent dose of mushrooms or LSD then doing nothing is the best use of your time.

Watch movies, socialize, go places, walk around when you're sober or coming out of the peak. Why waste the peak doing activities you always do? *confused*.

Do nothing on psychedelics = ) It's the best.

Just sit there.

I grab my guitar and my effects pedals (tube screamer + vintage ross compressor ftw) and I go to town on that thing, running up and down the scales, makin' shit up, getting a jam going either by myself of with friends. :) <3 I feel so naked without my guitar, especially when I'm tripping, if I don't have my guitar to play with I just spend the whole time wishing I had it. :)

Last time I tripped, myself and a good friend of mine went to the top af a small mountain just north of Boston where I live. It was mid fall in New England so the colors of the leaves on the trees were amazing. We were looking at Boston's skyline off in the distance and it appeared that the city had a huge dome over it like a force field.I remember the sky looking very purple as the sun was going down. We watched the planes approaching Logan Airport and it seemed that you could actually hear them penetrate this imaginary dome. Looking down at all the different colors of the leaves, coupled with the sound and sight of the wind blowing through the trees was fucking amazing. I would really recommend being outdoors with people you are comfortable with. Like someone else posted, being out in nature is a great place to trip. Just be safe.

oh yeah, heres how the trip ended. We came down the mountain and walked around the woods til it got dark. Neither one of us had a watch on or a phone at the time so we had no idea how much time had passed or what time it was. We started getting a little freaked out. We heard some voices coming thru the woods and we started getting really scared. I remember us both hiding behind trees scared shitless. I looked out at the path and saw flashlights and Im thinking oh shit its the cops. Turns out it was a bunch of our buddies carrying a keg on a two wheeled dolly. we spent the rest of the night drinking beer and smoking grass.
Ahhh the good old days!!
But yeah, trip out in nature.

depends on the substance. if i can i always cleanse the place, inviting good energy. i usually do a sage blessing but if i have none i use holy water that i prepare myself. i always clean up the area im going to be in if its a residence. it cuts back on accidents. before i journey i also select the playlist that fits the tool and get out my note book that i record my experience in. i'll shower and lastly, get out blankets and candles in case i get cold or the light is too bright.

.

Because doing things you do often while not on a psychedelic while tripping can give you an entirely new perspective on this activity. Make the experience completely different than it was before. For example, I've chewed a piece of gum tons and tons of times sober, and then I decided to try it while tripping...it was like this completely new sensation and feeling that took over me that I could have never imagined before.

I know what you mean.

After my first few trips I stopped doing things on psychedelics, maybe it's just me.

I even listen to music less on LSD.

I find doing nothing to be the most rewarding nowadays.

Playing music on LSD is very interesting though, not a high dose.

I guess it really depends on how hard you're tripping, whenever I am tripping complete balls I find that "doing anything" takes away from what is important. I even start to feel guilty when I pack a bowl of bud, I guess I see LSD more as a spiritual molecule than anything these days.

I just like to tune into the cosmic flow.

However....lower doses are great for trying new things. I see what you mean.
