I searched for a thread like this b/c I'M SURE there had to be one, but I didn't see one and I was just wondering what fellow BL'ers do for a living, if anything?

I myself work as an estimator for an electrical contracting company...

What's everyone else do?

^Estimating can be a draagggg sometimes huh? I think I get maybe 10% of the jobs I bid on... I hate it!... Because we bid up against usually 30 other EC's and some jackass will forget something major in his bid and end up getting the project and loosing his ass on it... Awesome to see a fellow estimator though!

I work for a crook who has no qualms whatsoever about cutting corners. Even when I fuck up, we usually end up smelling like roses.

Essentially, my job is to figure out how much the HO is willing to spend, and then get him/her for every penny of that.

Edit: even though my PRIMARY function is to bid, with the economy being so shit, I've had to do all kinds of service/installation lately.

I make cardboard boxes in a Tyco Electronics warehouse.

But I'll be a fulltime student starting september.

army so I do as little work as I can get away with without getting in trouble. which right now consists of me sitting in front of a computer posting on bluelight while on MWR guard (think internet cafe just in Iraq and free)

bartender/server/manager for 3 different restaurants (all owned by the same people). I'm going back to school in the fall for post-grad psychology...need some more pre-requisites first.
