I've tried K a couple of times (liquid taken orally straight from the vet bottle..tastes digusting).
Some of the effects it gave me included: I could feel time moving around me; I became very aware that my body was just a shell and the essence of me was seperate to it; I could feel what it would be like to be other people; astral planing; and looking back at myself like plastickman descibed.
I found the experiences amazing and have been looking for another pure form ever since.
However a friend of mine on the second trip had a very intense experience which at one stage had him huging a door frame screaming out 'I love you Jesus!' and another talking some form of gibberish to aliens, it shook him up for weeks and he has no desire to repeat the experience again.
