What do cold turkey quits ...

im not sure i understand your question but going cold turkey (kicking a drug habit with absolutely no chemical help) is often risky and considered dangerous. I would take some time and think about yoru decision before going thru with it.
 
Don't be trying any of that cold turkey shit with benzo's or a heavy dope habit... just unnecessary suffering.

Slow taper is always best.
 
^^^ agree, never cold turkey off Benzo's or Barbituates, sudden withdrawal can cause seizures, other health problems and even death. Coming off heroin cold turkey is not even advised although it is done, usually when a person has no other options except cold turkey.
 
i am asking these question not because I plan a cold turkey but to fill in the copious gaps I have in my own personal knowlede.

Just when you think you know all there is to know you discover it's just the tip of the ice burg.
 
Well this is probably an Other Drugs or Basic Drug Discussion thread. That said there's a lot of info in the Other Drugs like this thread started by 6/7 and The Other Drugs Directory which has tons of great shit in it about everything.

I'll leave it here if ya want as I'd assume it'd get closed because it's been covered plenty of times before. What kinds of drugs are we talking about here? There's obviously huge differences in withdrawal.

Didn't cross my mind really... I mean, who the fuck can get barbs these days anyway?

The last time I got my hands on any reds (Seconal) was over a decade ago. Haven't seen nor heard of any since.
