What did you last eat, version four

wouldn't that just be plain cacao then? if it's 100% of that, then there's no room for sugar or anything else...?
the raw material for chocolate is "chocolate liquor", which is ground cacao beans. this pulp consists of cacao solids (when separated used as cacao powder) and cacao butter.
100% dark chocolate is pure cacao (-liquor), but not "plain"- it goes through the processes of conching and tempering which can be very elaborate.
containing no sugar, it takes some getting used to, but theres big differences in quality -it can be surprisingly smooth.

thank you for explaining that to me :)

i last ate breaded swai with tartar sauce and koolaid on the side.

i've almost developed some kind of smug missionary attitude trying to turn everyone on to dark chocolate!

last thing i ate was cottage cheese with pumpkin seed oil, some dried tomatos, walnuts and tahina.

Beef cheek barbacoa tacos with pickled pink onions, with a side of re-fried black beans and cilantro lime rice.

Here's what the tacos look like, more or less (actually, mine looks almost exactly like this):

Wow that looks absolutely delicious and very healthy as well!

^ Um, I don't know about "healthy" necessarily. Beef cheek, while very moist and tender and delicious, is also very fatty. It's probably one of the fattiest cuts on the animal. I spent close to an hour and a half yesterday trying to trim the cheeks of all the fat and sinew left on the meat and ended up with only 1.5 pounds of beef from a 3.5 pound package. Luckily, the package was only ten bucks at Wal-Mart (offal doesn't sell well to non-Mexicans, I guess) and I only needed enough for my girlfriend and myself. Both of us highly recommend the recipe (especially the pickled pink onions, which I am now going to put on everything I eat).

Everything else is pretty healthy though :)

No worries, I grew up from an Asian family with eating beef, pork etc but we always have veggies on every meal as well. Without meat I don't think I can ever be sane =D I think as long as you don't eat beef cheek every single day you should be fine. Moderation it is.

Big breakfast today:

Oatmeal, banana, sandwich with strawberry jam and avocado :D

Frozen pizza just to get rid of the thing. It had been sitting in the freezer for ages.
Homemade is so easy and so much better. I think I will make some dough right now.

Wild planet albacore tuna no salt added. Next "Enjoy Life" dark chocolate bar.
