Diet What did YOU last eat? Version 5

Black beans and chicken.

I've been eating the same 4-5 things daily for the past seven weeks, more or less. It hasn't been difficult and I enjoy the vast majority of my meals. I have eaten out three times in those seven weeks. Cravings for everything have dissipated. Blood sugar is stable; I can easily go 6 hours without eating whilst maintaining mood and energy.

Food is simple and pleasant. Discipline is amazing.
 
^im actually havin a smoothie right now too but with whey protein and some other good stuff.
 
just took a bite of an apple turnover from a box of them that was given to me by the food bank last week.

Then i noticed "sell by june 26"

ew. didn't notice mold or anything, but ew.

A -lot- of food is still very much edible way past its expiration date. So if it looks okay, smells okay and tastes okay, you'll probably be okay. It is not uncommon for retailers/ manufacturers to use expiration dates as tools to make people throw away and buy new stuff quicker.

You are probably right. It was tasty, and I'm sure I'll be fine from what I ate, but I'm scared to eat the rest because there is the fruit filling. Probably fine to eat, but I don't want to gamble on my stomach today.
