Hi! I am a (hopefully soon) recovering addict with experience with weed, dxm, diphenhydramine, and Adderall. However, it has been many months since I used any of those substances, and I last used alcohol a month ago. I have never taken any drug and had negative health consequences, nor have I taken any drugs that affect body chemistry permanently or would cause flashbacks. Hopefully this history will help a little. Now, on to the problem itself.
I was offered three extremely cheap "Valium" by a friend. 3 for 3$. That is around half of the normal price around here. From initial inspection (which I will admit was quite brief) they appeared to look similar to valium. It was a white, small tablet, similar in size to the 10mg valiums. However, now that I think about it, valium I have previously used was more of a circle shape. This was more of a rounded out rectangle or elongated oval, although still similar in size to valium. (photo of the valium I am speaking about: http://bit.ly/P2HohZ) I, without proper thought on the consequences of the action, took all three of these pills I purchased directly before school. Valium doesn't affect me very strongly, so I figured I could handle 3 fine.
Around 40 minutes after ingestion on an empty stomach, there was no euphoria, although a slight sedation was present. At this point with valium, I would be feeling quite euphoric and a tingling sensation on my head. Despite the sedation, there was little to no effects. After an hour and 10 minutes had passed, I went to the next class. I was feeling very woozy, and was having difficulty keeping my eyes open. I ended up falling asleep for ~45 min. When I woke up the problems started. I asked to use the restroom, and almost immediately upon standing a large portion of my vision turned black and I felt very weak. I attributed this to the high caffeine intake this morning, 2x 160mg caffeine rockstars. However, as my vision cleared(or rather, became present again), everything took on a much different light than if I had just stood up too fast with high blood pressure. Everything was blurry, and it was difficult to see things up close. As I was walking to the restroom, I felt a very LOUD buzzing noise in my ears that sounded like crickets were everywhere. As I looked out the window, the snow took on a very bright and sharp color that almost blinded me. When in the restroom, the colors seemed contrasted and brighter than usual. I left the bathroom, terrified, and went back to class.
Today, (the day of ingestion) nearly every time I stood up or did too much strenuous exercise, this happened. The buzzing occurs, and colors take on a strange hue. Most of today I have actually been dismissing these effects to high blood pressure(which can cause the black vision, nothing else though), even though I have consumed vastly higher quantities of caffeine with no such effects. I finally decided that yeah, somethings wrong when I went out in the dark house to use the restroom. Some light pouring in from the street appeared purple, objects were distorted and more vibrant, and the buzzing was very realistic and lasted a good 3 minutes per occurrence. It still happens every time I stand up. I feel drained of my normal youthful energy, and instead am scared of moving around for fear of experiencing this again.
If anyone can help me figure out what I took, and more importantly whats wrong with me as a result of taking them, that would be great! I am looking for advice on what the substance was, why it is causing these effects, and what I should do to negate these effects, which are still occurring roughly 14 hours after taking the pills. I am free to answer any questions necessary, so feel free to ask! Only my utmost gratitude goes out to those who are able to help me with this problem!
