Hmmm?

What courses will best set me up to become a doctor?

I'm in the UK btw.

I only have GCSE's but am hopefully looking for an access course into it but i don't know what the actual course/s are called?

Any help appreciated.

Are there no counseling services at your university? I'm sure the lot of us could guess what courses you should take but we won't no for sure and if you take our advice we may take you down the wrong path. Check into the actual school you want to study within and see their resources. :)

^ I'm not in a university :P

+ I don't know what i'm looking for! So i don't know what school i wanna study in! I'm going to a college open day in a couple days so i'll ask there ;)

Just go to college websites.
They should have plenty of info about pre-med programs (Idk if thats what you call it in the UK)
here in the states there are a lot of pre-requisite classes you take during your under graduate career before going to medica school. They aren't exactly required but they help prepare you to take the MCAT (exam for med school entrance)

A basic sequence is Bio I,II; Chem I,II; Calc I,II; Physics I,II
then more advanced things like Organic Chem I, II; Cell Biology, Anatomy, maybe Physical Chemistry, etc..

None of those classes are geared towards preparing you to be a Doctor, but they prepare you to study and work hard as well as give you knowledge for the MCAT which covers nearly all of the above
