Has anybody got an idea what causes the frequent sneezing during opiate withdrawal?
Sneezing is usual when I have influenza or common cold or something like that. But during withdrawal it is different. Often I have a runny nose and feel flu-like symptoms but sometimes I nearly feel normal but I alwasy have to sneeze. Not just one time. Sometimes I have to sneeze maybe a twenty times until it stops.
I wanted to know how normal sneezing is caused. But all I found was, that it is a reflex caused by sneezing stimuli. But I could not find what kind of stimuli can cause that reflex. Foreign bodies in the nose could be a cause - but not for sneezing during opiate withdrawal. But what else could irritate the nose mucous membrane?
I have absolutely no idea what could be the sneezing cause during withdrawal. Any ideas? Any medical studies?
