What caused this one bad weed experience?

I've been smoking weed for 3 years now, and i've loved every single time... except once, about 2 years ago.

I remember just getting extremely paranoid, which is common with weed in some people (although this is the only time it happened to me), and then vomiting constantly for 4 hours before passing out. What the hell caused that? I didn't drink or take any other drugs before lighting up, so I'm baffled.
