What can I tell from my pill by looking at it?

I just picked up a grip of purple rhinos for myself and my buddies to take at *snip* tomorrow, but the thing is I really know nothing about them. I seriously trust my dealer and everything she has ever sold me has been nothing but great, I just get slightly sketched out when I have pills and know nothing about em. Sadly there is no pillreport either, so what exactly can I do (without a testing kit) to get a general idea of the quality or even just to learn anything about them)? The press is very firm and they seem to be the size of a quad stack or so. Any info helps.

Hahaha thats all I really assumed there is to see, except I have heard I can tell a bit by how chalky/firmly pressed the pill is. Is that true?
 
just by looking at it i'd say you can tell all the active ingredients of the pill along with the exact amount of mdma (if any). If you don't have a testing kit then there is a test you can do to make sure there is mdma. just set the pill on top of a sheet of toilet paper, if the color of the pill doesnt bleed onto the TP then you should be good to go ;)

srs, what all do u expect to be able to do just by looking at it? 8)


Also, you're not supposed to talk about specific events where you will be consuming your drugs.

We can't tell you anything =\ Liquid Sunshine was RIGHT on the money. You CAN tell the quality of the press, yes. That is the last thing =) If you can't find anything on pillreports or ecstasydata, i'd hold off on taking them. Invest in a testing kit if you intend on doing ecstasy ;)
 
I would suggest investing in a test kit of some sort even if you do find info on pillreports/ecstasydata/etc. in the event of copycats, and batch-to-batch variance.

If you choose not to test, be prepared for the consequences. Pressed pills are a numbers game; eventually you will get something other than was advertised, and you will not be happy. Investing in a test kit will save you more money in the long run, and you will enjoy yourself more.

although not always accurate most of the time smelling and tasting the pill gave me a rough idea at least if the pill was bunk or not. A sharp taste and a sassafras or root beer like smell is usually a good indicator that you at least have MDXX in your pill. People can fool you tho, but generally those are good signs. also check out pillreports and compare your pills to their reports. a test kit would be a good investment tho
 
While the only way to know is to test it, in my experience, visual indicators of a good pill CAN be, but are not always:

-Feels easy to break (MDMA cannot be bound, more crumbly = more MDMA, less binders)
-Bitter sassafras-like taste if you lick a bit of it
-Cut-out pills, are almost always pipes at least in my experience, whereas pills I've had with clean inward presses have typically been very good.

but i dont have one either...lol
what i do is if it ent on PR dont get it...
if the pill looks to powdery stay away from it....
if it looks shiny stay away from it...
if its outpress or cut-out and u dnt know about it, stay away...
if when u lick it it burns or numbs stay away from it...
 
Testing kit is really the only way to go. Pillreports helps, but you have to keep in mind if you're getting a certain type of pill and color- you could be getting a different version than the one that's been tested or reported on pillreports- the same colors and presses are used over and over. Almost every state has a "green apple" or whatever the identifying marks and colors are, and a new pill seems to come out every year with the same stamp- and pills circulate and last forever. We (boyfriend and I) took a pill last year that had been reagent tested on pillreports- turns out, it wasn't the same pill, just looked identical- we got piped. Horrible. =( Not worth holding off on ordering an inexpensive, perfectly legal testing kit.
 
www.dancesafe.org tends to get the best reviews- the simple Mecke test is 25$ and tells you basic info about your pill (whether it contains MDxx or not), but the 60$ complete kit is much more thorough and can give you more details about the contents. The test kits last a long time too- especially if you're neat and have a steady hand with the reagents.
