What broad class of drugs does MDPV technically belong too?

Just tried MunkeeDust last night. I heard somewhere from surfing the forums thats what u ppl call it in the UK, s called it bc it makes u just sit around and masturbate for hours on end just like some jungle deprived monkey at the zoo. Also that show Monkey Dust will always be a classic. anyways i received my gram just in time for my mom to go out of town. I was really nervous cause i dont have my mg scale here. so i just dipped the end of something really small and sniffed. It worked well and later i began smoking tiny bits which was a bit difficult because the shit i got was really white and clumpy. very hydroscopic like poorly dried blow. Anyways I personally cannot tell the difference b/w smoking meth and PV and felt that the effects of smoking both drugs are almost identical. the real difference is a gram of PV could last a looong ass time w/ about 1/4 to 1/10 the price of meth. tastes nastier too. Anways my original question: IS MDPV a phenethylamine at the end of the day like any type of speed or MDMA/MDMA. Im just wondering if the pyrovalerone is different

Hope that answers your question.

Excellent work Vader!

OP, I can assure you that people in the UK don't generally call MDPV "Munkee/Monkey Dust" - that sounds like when the media insisted on referring to mephedrone as "Meow Meow".. no one actually calls it that ;)

Funny reason behind the name though!

As this was a fairly straightforward question and has been answered (and illustrated!) I'm going to close this thread, but shoot me a pm if you have any further queries.
