Twilight.
Written by mormon woman as code for living a life free of sin, and aimed at the tender teenage girl.
There was me thinking MCFly was a an untender Scottish Junky......yet another person cured by STEPHENIE MEYER!

Fuck it, maybe they should hand these fucking things out at AA, NA meetings...better than the fucking bible that for sure.

Me I'm off to read The girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
And then find a real one.

Pussy mormon!
Hehehe.
I always feel strange when adults really get into childrens books. Main one being Harry Potter, I remember 2000 half the adults about had one.
OH well.
Mormon.:D

By Jeffrey Archer though, ugh.

I just finished reading the audition, it was ok but didn't see why it's so raved about. I suspect it's probably because of the film...

I just finished 'Crime' by Irvine Welsh which took me a while to get into buy that I enjoyed a lot and am now reading Che Gueveras diaries.

found this at the Royal Park Jumble sale for 50p! its a load of acid-frazzled ramblings as opposed to proper poetry but can be quite interesting when really stoned, also has these little drawings that presumably Leary did himself which are cool..

If that's the University Books, 1966 edition, you know it's worth at least $80 right? :)

Even later editions from other houses like Ronin Publishing don't go for anything less than $20.

Nice find!

last best book i read was a great true strory with everything people like us need was "SHANTARAM"

^ Lol!

Reading "Heavier than Heaven" just now. Its the biography of Kurt Cobain by Charles R Cross. Interesting read for someone who used to be daft for Nirvana. Some bits are pretty boaring though or don't seem to really go anywhere.. I'm only about half way though so we'll see what the verdict is when its finnished.

Borrowed it off someone who never reads so he must have been bought it for his birthday I reckon. Want to read the trilogy before the films are brought over here, hopefully they'll be shown on BBC2 to avoid the curse of the commercial break.
So far the thing has been as I had expected it to be, although its throwing in a big fuck off Agatha Christie type locked room mystery in. Should start looking into Scandinavian novelists now.
I have difficulty reading/watching things set in places that bare no resemblance to my knowledge/education/social interaction....this is why I still haven't read the Kite runner. I just don't have any interest in countries that are not existing in the 21st century. Or where religion is important.
My mind could be opened though, if someone knows what stuff?
Although I'm pretty much only interested in crime or sci-fi crime or horror-crime or true-life-crime.
Hence why I have no interest in Magical realism.
Although I am fixated with graphic novels, but seem to have gone through all of the ones in the Sheffield library system that bare any resemblance to interesting.
May have to re-read some Hellblazer, Sandman,Swamp Thing.....although its about time I read From Hell again as its the best graphic novel I've read. Then again everything I've read by Allan Moore is great.

Electric kool acid acid test - second time & i liked it first time - i'm liking it even better this time - probably helps if you have an interest in the subject matter I suppose.

Tekken as it happens i've just read the part where the pranksters turn up at millbrook & Leary is too busy to see them - i'd burn your book if i were you :D

Oooohhh I heard that was really good. Can you give a review once you're done. If I get another thumbs up I might procure it.
I'm on pg144 out of 538.
I don't really know how to give reviews without giving away some details of what happens.....
Well I should have it finished by Friday or before so I'll see what sort of review I can rustle up. I know when my mum is recommended things she just gets told by a few people that something is good and buys it. I don't know how this works with books compared to other media.....eg if 10 people said Tinchy Stryder was good I'd think they all needed shooting. Maybe its because book readers are intelligent.

Remember when John Grisham was rolling em out every year and each sellling more than the last.....that to me is like people buying something because others are......the same reason that X-factor winners go places.

I could rant about who knows what, but well I'll finish it and get the 2nd + 3rd ones and see if I am capable of actually reviewing something without giving anything away.

^LOL funny crazy weird book...

I am reading "the Time Travellers Wife" after receiving it for xmas...

Started reading "Shantaram" but got a bit daunted by it's size for now, so putting it on the back burner til I;ve read a few more books, easing myself back into it hahaha...
